Don’t recall them having rock music in the 1300’s?

    Day Fourteen Slot 3: Single

I’ve been meaning to do some Nine Inch Nails for a while but couldn’t find an easy way in. Thankfully, Bat Ramps offered to help out on vocals (with some further fixes) to get this out soon. I personally enjoy the whole EP from front to back, this song especially. The keys eluded me a bit here, and will be put in another time hopefully.

Thank you nsw for a great song! Here’s another single for y’all!

Out of My Head” is a classic 90’s ballad from Fastball (also known for “The Way”). The second single from their 1998 album “All the Pain Money Can Buy“, it’s a full-band piano ballad with some gospel influence and some creative drumming. The song has a rather unusual structure – starts with a traditional verse-chorus, but there’s never a second verse. Instead, there’s a beautiful guitar solo and than a repeat of that infectious, brilliant chorus.

In 2016, Machine Gun Kelly and Camila Cabello has adapted the chorus of this song for a pop hit named “Bad Things”, with the line “I never wanna do bad things to you”, changed to a sexualized “I only want to do bad things to you”. I’m slightly embarrassed to admit that’s how I discovered the song – but I liked the chorus a lot, which led me to dig up this beautiful original. Hope you like it!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Here’s a classic Christmas song that’s perfect for your annual Christmas party, or if you’re just in the Christmas spirit, this song is sure to help!

There’s many versions of this song as you probably know, but this is by far the most iconic version. It was featured in the 1964 Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer movie. I thought this song is classic enough that most people will know this version, and it really translated well to Rock Band, so I hope you enjoy it!

I’m back! And I bring with me this piece of Garbage. But this garbage is recyclable, able to use again and again.

    Garbage – Queer

    DOWNLOAD LINK | VIDEO PREVIEW

Released as the second single off of their best selling debut album, Queer catapulted Garbage into the spotlight, solidifying the band as a player in the rock space. The song itself was first written by the members of Garbage BEFORE singer Shirley Manson joined, then lyrically rewritten by the frontwoman. I’ve always had a strong affinity for this song as I definitely connected with the song’s subject matter of not being “normal”, so it’s an absolute pleasure to be the one who gets to bring it into the customs database.

If you’ve downloaded this song, why not log it as part of your tally of songs from this event and consider giving at least the $10 minimum at chartathon.com.

Rob you’re on fire! Loved that Buddy Holly song too.

Some really big pack releases coming down the line… I guess everybody wanted those later spots so they can finish as many songs as possible <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Good afternoon to you all, humans and robots, sorry for the slight delay.

Here’s my fifth release, this time a follow up to the Bleep Bloop Micmac pack. I have four songs from all kinds of electronic music. You can watch the trailer right HERE!

So let’s get started shall we?

    paD0YJT.jpg

Spybreak! is one of the classic songs of an under-represented genre known as Big Beat, the other big name in it being Fatboy Slim. You will probably recognize this song as the hall shootout scene in the Wachowski sisters’ 1999 movie The Matrix.

    HIVNbpa.jpg

With this one, every Justice studio album has been represented at least once in the game. This one’s a funky and chill sounding track that could remind you of other tracks by their compatriots, such as Instant Crush by Daft Punk.

Speaking of french, the electronic scene has been full of big people who changed the game in their own way, that is no exception with the one big hit machine David Guetta and his 2009 collaboration with Kid Cudi, an efficient party anthem like you don’t see often.

    GHVRYdc.jpg

Radioactivity is one of the big songs by Kraftwerk and I’m happy to finally bring it to the game. Sure it’s pretty easy, but the whole thing makes for a very special full band experience.

All of the above authored by yours truly, TheSheepQueen

Speaking of numbers, That’s 80 songs for the event, but for me, that’s 299! I wanted to do something big to celebrate, so my next release will be a single song, but oh boy, what a song.
Next up is Buster66 who will bring us two rock songs from the country with the maple leaf!

Okay, unlike the remaining songs I have for this event, maybe these two require some description.

Luba was a Canadian solo artist active in the 1980’s. Although not really known outside of Canada she consistently produced hit singles and remains one of the most successful female solo artists in Canadian music history. Much of her music sounds of that era but this song sets itself apart as a timeless classic. Think Total Eclipse of the Heart only good better. It’s a good song to sing, especially if you are, or have in your life, a woman who likes to belt them out with feeling.

    2biFQS2.jpg

Edwin was (and is again) the lead singer of Canada’s I Mother Earth. Hang Ten is from his first solo album, released in 1999. This song is hard to describe, and while charting it I had forgotten what a gem it is. I love the lounge-lizard vibe interspersed with the high-energy chorus. It is ridiculously fun to play on all instruments.
