Welcome to the Hakodate Arena! Here we have many people performing today!
First of all, I am going to hand it off to Rocker, who is going to introduce the first group performing tonight!

“Let me introduce you to this amazing group. Stellure is an English Idol group based in the surrounding New Jersey area. They formed back in 2016, creating many hit songs in their community up until their disbanding in February 2019. Around late 2018, I got to know someone fairly well, and they informed me that they needed some help with mixing for this group, so I decided to join on as lead mixer and that’s that. I was tasked with mixing a song called Tidal Duet, and this double song, Snowbound/Overdriver, for their performance at Katsucon 2019. Afterwards, they announced their disbanding and there was to be an album of all their biggest songs with me mixing new songs and remixing old songs if material was still available (Which, by the way, is still in production.) Ok, enough of their backstory and mine, let’s get onto the song itself.
The first song is called Snowbound. The song is a nice heartwarming pop love song showing the best of all 9 idols, with Astra leading the song. It’s not too difficult, but be careful, as this can get stuck in your head REALLY quick. Overdriver, on the other hand, is quite the opposite. While still a catchy song (and my favorite song from this group) it’s a cold, harsh, and very digital song, comprised of heavy synths and crazy vocal phrases matched with very fitting autotune. Drummers beware, as there is a constant difficult pattern, with the breakdown getting pretty fast without lanes! Vocalists beware, as when the breakdown starts, you don’t have a lot of room to breathe because of how many quick and insane vocal phrases there are! Definitely one of my favorite songs to play on vocals!”

Now, over at the second stage, some Touhou enthusiasts are performing Touhou soundtrack music back from the days where the games’ music were made for playback on the sound chip for the Japanese home computer NEC PC-98. The dreamy and dark yet colorful chiptune aesthetic of these songs are also captured in the light shows featured in the venues.
