In the past, when I update a song in the database I use the UPLOAD NEW VERSION action on the file management page, but I did not change the filename at all. I would just upload it with the same name and overwrite the older version. Seeing as I am learning more and getting better at doing customs I am re-visiting some of my old ones and updating them as necessary. But now I see this can be a problem without some indication of what version it is.

 

Soooo, my question is, when I use the upload new version command do I have to keep the filename the same or can I change it slightly to reflect the new version?

No, you can change the filename to whatever you want it to be.
