      v3.8.1
      EVENT MANAGER
      - Fixed compatibility with newer Setlist Manager .setlist files that was broken in an earlier version

      MAIN FORM
      - Now can check for Administrator Mode use and for installation in Program Files - both of these are discouraged because they cause permission problems - now C3 CON Tools will advise you if you're doing either
      - Some minor GUI changes

I wanted to add a new suggestion for consideration. For the Setlist Manger, under the export options, would it possible to further customize the style choices? Specifically Esphers? I currently use his for my song list book and when I would pass it around for people to vote with a highlighter, everyone would always either highlight the song or put a mark next to the song name, instead of using the square box on the far right. What I would like to do is be able to move the check box from the far right, to the left in front of the artist and song. Not sure if its even possible, but I think it would be a nice addition.

Sure, we’ll talk on Facebook about the specifics when I can get around to working on the Tools again. Got other things lined up first.

Been meaning to post about this but i’m having problems with Pack Creator. For every pack i try to make whether it’s close to the 4gb file size limit or not at all close i always lose one song in the process. I’ve tried different combinations of files and still get the same effect and its all from C3s song database. Am i doing something wrong here? I need a little help or clarification. I have been trying to research this on the forms but i haven’t seen anything similar to my situation to help me.

Thank you for adding the options to disable the song ID prompt and to default to using the upgrade ID over the original. However it seems that when one has “Default to upgrade ID over original song ID” checked and “Show new song ID prompt before bundling” unchecked the resulting bundled file will have the original ID and not the upgrade ID as I think it should. If I check “Show new song ID prompt before bundling” it does auto full in the prompt with the upgrade ID however.

I am also getting the new running in administrator mode warning when I launch C3 CON Tools when I don’t believe I should be. I am running on XP Pro SP3 if that helps.

I’ll take a look at that before next update.

Windows XP isn’t supported beyond the fact that it may or may not work. But Windows XP specific problems will not be addressed. That seems to me like it is one such problem, as it works as intended in Windows 8 and Windows 10.

Hi I’d like to request a few features.

              1. Can you add the code from Magma C3 to batch replace/restore song ID’s. Also maybe enhance it by being able to do subfolders (option).

              2. Is there a way to add a function to search/show songs that don’t have numeric id’s (ie wipe proof), maybe as an extension to the file indexer. Then be able to take action on one or all files displayed. This could maybe another column in the file indexer to show the song id.

The encoding ANSI/UTF option in Magma C3 when doing replace song id’s doesn’t seem to have any effect. Maybe that’s the way it is ? when I want to replace id’s in files with UTF encoded characters ie Queensrÿche I have to use Magma C3 to batch replace, then use C3contools Quick DTA editor / notepad to change the encoding of the dta file manually and save.

              3. Given the above statement, can this UTF/ANSI encoding option be utilised in the replace id functions if added to contools, to remove the multiple steps required.

              thanks.

Is there currently a way to save a custom layout for the buttons when updating?

Like a file specifically for the layout which I could just copy into the new version?

main3.config in /bin/config/ has all the info for the main form, which includes the buttons, size, colors, etc.

                But…

Unless you’re coming from a really old version of C3 CON Tools, you should extract these files over your existing installation so no settings or important files are lost.

I’ll think about it. I’m not very enthusiastic about working on new features at the moment, though. So don’t expect it anytime soon.

You can do this now with Setlist Manager, exporting to Excel or CSV, select the option to dump all data, and you can get the information that way.

Seems like a bug with Magma: C3, but I’ve stopped support on that. Would have been an easy fix had someone bothered to inform me then. Sorry.

As a matter of fact, some recent changes to the underlying code in C3 CON Tools would make this happen naturally without any extra steps having to be done by me. But the changes arrived too late to make it to Magma. That’s what happens when you have someone with no formal training just figuring things out as they go :v:

Thanks for your responses. I just wanted to put the ideas out there, If there is enough interest in the feature, and you decide to add them later, no problem.

I had used this before on my cache file, then I realised i could drop files on it as well, but the exact song id’s for those with non-numeric names didn’t show up. Then I read between the lines and the numbers are slightly different. Anything with an id of 99999999 seems to be a non-numeric id, they are only 8 characters as apposed to 10. Even though the wipe proof column says Yes. This was for added files, not cache.

I was looking for a way to find if they were wipe proof before copying to the xbox. I could also see the names in the pack creator, but it’s a little late after I’ve packed them. The set list manager method will work for now.

                  Thanks.

Hey, I was using the program, but I was having trouble with the Phase Shift song converter as I was trying to convert songs from the custom RB3 songs. As they are done, some of the other files aren’t being shown like how all the other songs would like any other Phase Shift songs would have.

Any ways on how to fix the problem?

                    Thanks.
