v3.6.7
VISUALIZER
- Changed from using SoX for audio playback to using BASS.NET so Windows Vista (and maybe Windows XP?) users should be able to preview the song audio without problems
- Added ability to adjust the audio playback volume
- Added audio spectrum visualization during playback - click on it to cycle through a few choices
- Various changes to the audio playback UI
PS3 CONVERTER
- Added third MIDI to EDAT encryption option ('Type 3') that uses make_npdata.exe
- Added native support for PAL conversions and the ability to switch from NTSC to PAL and vice versa - click on Region Options and choose your region
- Added process to clean files of problematic characters in the file names during the conversion process
- Will now remember which encryption option is selected so you can choose the one that works for you and it'll stay across sessions
PHASE SHIFT CONVERTER
- Changed behavior so when creating RAR files during conversion the containing folder is also kept in the archive, so you don't have to manually rename each extracted RAR file
SONG ANALYZER
- Changed from using SoX for mogg analysis to using BASS.NET for faster processing and no need to call an external process
GENERAL
- Other minor bug fixes and improvements
I think at this point C3 CON Tools is pretty stable, and I’m taking my break damn it.
Feel free to post bug reports or suggestions here for when and if I come back to work on it.

March 29, 2015 at 11:22 am #441604Thanks for the new version!!
March 29, 2015 at 5:12 pm #441622If any of y’all are interested, I got MagmaC3 to work on Linux (Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64-bit here). I also got the Visualizer portion of C3ConTools to work, though the default font is missing so it defaults to Times New Roman; however you need to link it within MagmaC3 and click the “Visualize” link after building songs, due to the main menu on MagmaC3 bugging up and coming out as a black window (I use a Windows Virtual Machine to use C3ConTools because of this).
I use PlayOnLinux, and have the following things installed on my WinePrefix:
[*]alt110 (native, builtin)
[*]alt120 (native, builtin)
[*]gdiplus (native)
[*]mfc42 (native)
[*]mfc42u (native)
[*]mscoree (native)
[*]msvcp110 (native, builtin)
[*]msvcp120 (native, builtin)
[*]msvcp100 (native, builtin)
[*]msvcr110 (native, builtin)
[*]msvcr120 (native, builtin)
[*]msvcr90 (native, builtin)
[*]msxml3 (native)
[*]vcomp110 (native, builtin)
[*]vcomp120 (native, builtin)
Not entirely sure if it’s necessary to have all of these, but I’m just detailing what all is there.
There is one catch to this, though. As of my testing, Magma crashes when compiling a 2x Bass Pedal version of your song using the automated MIDI method, so you need to build the two versions separately. It’s also worth noting that you may want to start your projects from scratch, as opposed to opening old ones, because you may end up running into an odd bug that tells you that the album art isn’t compatible (even if it is). Though this was a problem with the previous version of Magma for me, and I have yet to run into that with the newest version (which I used last night to build a custom). Apart from those two things, customs work just as well as if they were built on Windows.
But anyway, below are some screencaps.
Not exactly perfect, but it works. Just don’t hover over anything too long; it seems Wine takes those little speach balloons as separate windows and it sort of drives me crazy when trying to type something and it shifts to a speach balloon. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
March 31, 2015 at 7:48 am #441740Hi! I just wanted to ask if anyone else is having trouble with the download page.
I’ve gone over the limit for Party Buffalo and need the program to compile the songs into one file, but the download page appears to be broken. ):
March 31, 2015 at 11:14 am #441743I think the problem is only with my files. I’ll have to fix my links later today. Keep an eye on the thread for an update when I do.
March 31, 2015 at 1:46 pm #441747Link is fixed in the OP. If you’re looking for any of my other files … sit tight, I have to re-do ALL my links because I messed up something on the server (only on my files)
April 10, 2015 at 6:35 pm #442466I don’t know if this has been answered before, but I tried to create packs out of my too many songs and somehow the program is just stuck at adding files for song 3. It has not crashed, I can still scroll and stuff, but it does not finish creating the package. I tried to split the songs in 2 packages, and I had no problem with creating the other song package. But the first package is still stuck at file for song 3. So I assume it has an issue with one specific song that I have. How do I know which song it is? Is it going alphabetically?
Also, why does it have that problem?
April 10, 2015 at 6:43 pm #442467If I knew why a problem was occurring, I would fix that problem ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
Make sure no other programs (i.e. another copy of the Tools) have any of those files in use. Also make sure that if you’re mixing packs, the combined since of the files doesn’t go over 4GB. It asks windows for all the files in the folder, then it goes one by one from the top down, if it’s a STFS package, it extracts it. I believe windows would give it the files in alphabetical order, but I’m not sure. After all the files are extracted in the one combined folder, it adds them to the new CON file, again, it should be in alphabetical order, but now of the folders as it created them, which may or may not be the same order you expect.
You should be able to narrow down to what song it is. If you only got a handful, try removing two or three, and try to build. If you have hundreds, try removing 20 or so at a time. Do this until you can narrow it down the song. If you can show me the file that’s causing the problem, I can try to fix it. But I can’t find the problem file for you.
April 10, 2015 at 7:01 pm #442469Thanks a bunch man. I tried your method to finding the broken song and by doing so, I found that my Nena track only had about 8MB, which immediately made me think that was not right. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” /> No wonder I never found the song ingame, even though I had it on my USB stick. xD
April 10, 2015 at 11:17 pm #442480Question, i’m unable to export the setlist, keep getting the error msg “could not load file or assembly PDFLibNet.dll”
Already searched for the file and it’s there, also tried by copying the file on the windowssystem32 dir but still no change.
Looked here and on the readme file but couldnt find any mention on this problem. Appreciate if you could help?
Thanks in advance.
Saludos
