That looks great! Nice addition.
December 26, 2014 at 10:37 pm #435271Whenever I try to play a song preview in the visualizer, it comes out really laggy. Like half speed. Might just be a problem on my end? I dunno thought I’d mention it.
December 26, 2014 at 10:54 pm #435273Definitely sounds like a problem on your end. I rely on sox for the audio playback, and that’s a very snappy tool. What are your specs? I work with a pretty high end system and sometimes I forget not everyone is running things as I am.
December 27, 2014 at 3:16 am #435288Yeah it’s my computer. I tried it on my laptop and it worked fine. For all my customs work, I use a desktop that’s like 6 years old. Never had any performance issues with this kind of stuff until this came up though. I’ll just keep using an older version of con tools for visualizer images. No big deal.
December 27, 2014 at 3:25 am #435289You can just disable auto play and it won’t play the audio. No reason to stick with an older version.
December 29, 2014 at 12:04 am #435367Pointing out an issue that I already pointed out a long time ago but I just noticed it happened to me a second time so maybe this time I’m not the only one to encounter it…
I have trouble with depacking these 2 packs: ACDC Pack 1 and Bonus Rock Band 2 Tracks.
The issue is with those songs: AC/DC – Back in Black (live) and Tickle Me Pink – The Time Is Wrong (the one I’ve never played and just noticed today).
So basically, I have my two LIVE packs and I can see that those 2 songs each contain a .mogg file of 20+ MB. Right.
1/ If I try to depack (through Quick Pack Editor) those LIVE packs, I obtain a CON file for each song but Back in Black is only 2.6MB and TTIW is only 3.3MB. The .mogg file has disappeared…
2/ If I first turn the whole LIVE pack into a CON pack before depacking it, actually the .mogg files directly disappear during the convert. I do observe that the resulting CON pack’s size is smaller than the original LIVE pack’s size. So, even I do not split those packs into individual songs, this means that I won’t be able to play those 2 songs as customs when all my dlc are converted into cons…
If I recall correctly, I think you asked me about problems of rights for the folders I used but I am able to depack every other pack I own (so far), even in the same folder tree on my pc.
As I discovered a second pack with the same issue, I thought I would let you know again about this issue.
December 29, 2014 at 12:12 am #435368That sounds like a bug that was resolved very long ago. Make sure you’re on the latest version and that your copy of the files aren’t damaged. I have both of those packs backed up on my pc and depacked. I’ll double check tonight but I’m sure my depacked files aren’t damaged.
December 29, 2014 at 6:32 am #435375Just as I thought, my song files were fine. But I went ahead and re-did the dePACKing process to make sure it wasn’t a new bug I introduced.
Here’s AC/DC:
Bonus songs:
All songs depacked correctly and look the right file size.
All I can say is 1) make sure you have the latest update (always) for C3 CON Tools and 2) make sure your packs aren’t corrupt from the transfer.
January 1, 2015 at 12:17 am #435470I see your point. I’m sticking with C3 CON Tools’ last version anyway.
2) make sure your packs aren’t corrupt from the transfer.Well this would explain why it’s fine on your end, especially when I figured out since the other day that I had a problem with a 3rd song: We Are Young from Fun. And this one is a single song so the depacking process has nothing to do here, it’s when I convert it from LIVE to CON that the .mogg file disappears.
Anyway I must wait until next week in order to get the opportunity to transfer again those files from my Xbox to my laptop so I’ll let you know what the result is.
Thanks again for your verifications.
January 4, 2015 at 5:01 am #435643Heres a possible feature request or something to consider in the future.
SK Lightworks scripts.
I recently downloaded SK Lightworks 2.0.1 for future Rock Band partys and noticed the app can load custom lighting sripts. The app comes with 4 very basic light pattern scripts. Was hopeing that maybe other people created there own scripts to share or maybe a script creator could be added to the C3 App sometime in the future.
January 5, 2015 at 1:54 am #435680That should be doable, it’ll just take some time before I can get around to it. But it’s on my to-do list. I’ll make sure to bug you when I get around to it.
January 6, 2015 at 12:12 am #435731One thing about SK Lightworks scripts is no music. Luckily we have Rock Band!
You can make “scrips” in the Venue track, here are the commands I have found so far.
How cool would it be on Halloween to be able to set a scary sound effect CD on repeat and have the stage kit be synced up to it all night?
January 6, 2015 at 10:00 pm #435754Anyway I must wait until next week in order to get the opportunity to transfer again those files from my Xbox to my laptop so I’ll let you know what the result is.I was able to try your fix today and… it worked fine for me! So since the beginning, this problem came from my files (or at least the files I transferred to my pc).
Happy everything’s ok. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
January 7, 2015 at 3:55 pm #435770Nemo, would it be possible in a future update to add a “rhythm on keys” filter to the setlist manager? And does anyone have a current updated list of these songs?
January 7, 2015 at 4:29 pm #435772Nemo, would it be possible in a future update to add a “rhythm on keys” filter to the setlist manager? There already is a Rhythm filter under Instruments. And there aren’t enough songs out there using Rhythm Versions to warrant separate Rhythm on Keys and Rhythm on Bass filters.
