March 2, 2014 at 3:15 am #414935Here we go. Huge update. Everyone and anyone using these tools should update. Please refer to the change log to the vast changes, updates and new features. There were also a lot of technical, “under-the-hood” improvements throughout, so it benefits everyone who uses these tools to update.
v3.0.0
RBA TO CON CONVERTER (NEW!)
- Simple and quick batch converter that will convert RBN1 and RBN2 .rba files, as well as .rbs files to usable CON format
PS3 CONVERTER
- New method of processing the audio file that now allows you to pause/unpause the game and access the practice sessions!
- Removed editing of song.dta preview start time that was necessary under the old audio process. Now preview start times are as the song authors set them

- Fixed bug causing png_wii images to be offset to the right
ADVANCED ART CONVERTER
- Added ability for end users to expand compatibility with .png_xbox and .png_ps3 files that Advanced Art Converter may not yet recognize. See README file in the /bin/headers folder for more information

- Added "flapping" sound (flap.wav)
- Fixed sound bugs that would keep sound bite playing even after closing the game or starting a new game
MIDI CLEANER
- Some cleaning up of the code
SETLIST MANAGER
- Fixed bug that would export setlist details even if you clicked Cancel on the export dialog
MAIN FORM
- Added "Active color" option for background color (inspired by the Windows 8.1 installation screen) ... try it out!

March 13, 2014 at 4:01 pm #415498Here’s a doozy of an update. Hopefully now I can take a break.It’s doubtful. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
March 16, 2014 at 3:42 pm #415639As noticed somewhere, I also encounter the “can’t replace the songs.dta file of a song to edit info” issue.
Also, it seems that Pack Creator has trouble to count accurately the number of songs in a folder (which was not the case some weeks ago). Seems that, whatever the number of songs in a folder is, it always finds less songs before you start to pack them. But it actually extracts and packs the right number of songs. A bit odd.
Example of what it said to me with 21-songs folder:
“Reading input directory… hang on
Found 19 new songs”
Then I clicked “Begin”.
“…
Extracting file 18 of 19
Extracting file 19 of 19
Extracting file 20 of 19
Extracting file 21 of 19
Successfully extracted 21 of 21 files”
March 17, 2014 at 12:00 am #415663That’s not so much a counting issue as it is a “I didn’t know how to tell the user” issue. Based on what you posted, I’m betting you had 19 CON files in the folder, one of which was a pack with 3 songs inside it. So it had 19 files for input. And after extracting, now it knows there are 21 songs inside those CON files. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
March 17, 2014 at 5:03 am #415682Long time lurker, all the way back to the xbox360iso threads. I forgot my password on here, now that I am back, I first want to say thanks to TrojanNemo for making this awesome program. Now onto my problem.
I have a related issue that Korewahondes has except its the opposite. Ill use what he wrote as my example.
Example of what it said to me with 80-songs folder:
“Reading input directory… hang on
Found 80 new songs”
Then I clicked “Begin”.
“…
Extracting file 77 of 79
Extracting file 78 of 79
Extracting file 79 of 79
Successfully extracted 79 of 79 files”
What is bizarre is that the folder that I have is 80 con files. I have double checked everything in the folder. The file count, there are no doubled songs, and all the songs.dta files for each con are single. I have even shortened the length of the file names ( I have had issues in the past with the files not loading because of long names ). Has anyone had this issue? I also checked the pack that it created just to see if maybe all 80 tracks are in there through “quick pack editor” and its 79. Due to my file names in the folder being in a different order in the pack, I havent tried to individually check off each file to see what one is missing, since I feel like it would take forever. I am also running the latest version of this program.
Also another thing I noticed when going back to double check the amount of song entries through “quick pack editor.” When checking the amount of a fresh pack I just made through “pack creator”, it said it couldnt find a songs.dta file, so it didnt load the pack. I am not sure if this is a probelm or not but I just wanted to report it on here.
Thanks.
March 17, 2014 at 1:00 pm #415693Unfortunately, the only way I can fix whatever may be broken and causing the discrepancy in the file count is if you narrow it down to the problem file and send it my way.
I do extensive testing on my end. So that means in none of my tests that happened. But you won’t believe just how many old and crappy quality files are out there that require special handling to work with correctly. So, figure out which one isn’t packaging and send me that file.
As far as the second issue, that’s definitely a problem. If there is no songs.dta file in the package it won’t work in game.
If there is one but Quick Pack Editor can’t find it it’s a smaller problem but one I need to fix too. Again, I’d need more info. Open it in CON Explorer. Is the songs.dta file there? In the root folder? Open the file. Is it formatted correctly?
I have made over 100 packs with Pack Creator and have never had a problem. So I need your help in tracking down and fixing any problems you may experience.
March 17, 2014 at 4:56 pm #415695That’s not so much a counting issue as it is a “I didn’t know how to tell the user” issue. Based on what you posted, I’m betting you had 19 CON files in the folder, one of which was a pack with 3 songs inside it. So it had 19 files for input. And after extracting, now it knows there are 21 songs inside those CON files. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />Could be the reason but I am 100% sure that I have no more packs in my folders. Actually, I gave you the example with a 21-song folder but I had the same kind of “issue” with a 112-song one, a 54-song one, etc. Actually all of my folders…
As I told you, C3 Con Tools extracts and packs all the songs accurately so the program is working fine and there is nothing that I can not do with the program. So this is ok to me. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> But I wanted to let you know.
The only real issue I am encountering recently is the impossibility to edit a songs.dta file but you are already aware of that.
Also another thing I noticed when going back to double check the amount of song entries through “quick pack editor.” When checking the amount of a fresh pack I just made through “pack creator”, it said it couldnt find a songs.dta file, so it didnt load the pack. I am not sure if this is a probelm or not but I just wanted to report it on here.I ran into this problem with an older version of the program. I don’t remember what the reason was but it could be that your pack is wayyyyy too heavy (so you should split it and check if everything turns fine) or there might have one or several songs inside this pack which are just messing everything up. But try splitting it before because without a songs.dta file you won’t be able to check which song is absent.
