January 20, 2014 at 10:47 pm #412598I could, but what’s the point? Just drag and drop of the files from that folder and you’re there.
That’s a good point. I always just opened the renamer, pointed it at the directory, and hit go.
January 20, 2014 at 10:53 pm #412601Sure, please find it here.Don’t know what to tell you. Your dta is exactly the same as mine. I replaced mine with yours, and the dePACKing worked as intended. Also saving the file as CON or LIVE as RB1 or RB3 makes no difference on my end (as it shouldn’t). All I can think of is there may be an issue with file permissions on your end?
I had text size set to medium instead of the default small. But I do that so I don’t have to squint, because it seems silly to have a 24″ monitor and squint. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />That’s what different resolutions are for ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” /> Manually changing just the font size is a bad idea precisely because some programs are designed to be controlled by the creator (i.e. me), so Scaling is disabled. This typically means a nicer interface except for people in your unique circumstance. Sorry for the inconvenience but it’s something that I can’t change this late in the game.
That’s a good point. I always just opened the renamer, pointed it at the directory, and hit go.I’ve said it countless times but nobody ever seems to listen. Every part of Le Fluffie and Magma works with drag and drop. It’s more likely that what you want to do can be done by drag/dropping than not. And it makes it considerably quicker to do that, than to navigate through folders with the Open File… or Open Folder dialogs.
January 21, 2014 at 10:21 am #412622Weird…
All I can think of is there may be an issue with file permissions on your end?You mean something might have gone a little wrong when I exported ACDC Rock Band?
I’ll try again tonight: maybe removing other songs from the pack or stuff like that could work…
January 23, 2014 at 2:05 am #412737The setlist manager is awesome! My only gripe is you can’t select more than one song at a time in the list… I just updated my Beatles Rock Band export and imported by song cache and there’s two of everything so I’m having to go through and manually remove them. It’s a right pain in the arse.
January 23, 2014 at 3:07 am #412743Well, all you had to do was ask ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
I would like to know why the songs appear double though, not sure I understand that.
January 23, 2014 at 12:11 pm #412751That’s probably because of how I compile my packs. Rather than decompile the pack, replace the songs with their updated versions and recompile, I keep all of the TBRB songs “on tap” in a separate folder. Whenever a song updates I compile a new version of the pack with the name thebeatles-export-yyyymmdd. Then I move it to my library.
Before I do all this, though, I delete the previous version of the pack within RB3 by highlighting a song, pressing Y and selecting “Delete Song”. This deletes the existing export pack, which I thought would also remove them from the song cache. Apparently not.
Edit: Speaking of asking, is it too late to ask for PDF exports to be sortable by Song as well as by Artist? Or is there a setting for that I’ve missed?
January 23, 2014 at 5:29 pm #412762I’m going to bold this not to be a dick to you, but in the hopes that others will see it.
READ THE HELP DOCUMENTATION BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS AND BEFORE WASTING YOUR TIME!
Now that that is out of the way,
updating your songs on the xbox …Once importing is done, you may delete the cache file. From here on you’ll be using the .setlist file that Setlist Manager created for you.
[…]
MODIFYING YOUR SETLIST
MODIFYING AN EXISTING SONG
Now you have your Setlist on the computer, but some information is not correct or you want to modify it.
[…]
DELETING AN EXISTING SONG
To delete any song…
[…]
ADDING A NEW SONG
If you’re going to add new songs to the game, you don’t have to grab the song cache anymore. All you have to do is drag and drop the song’s CON file anywhere on Setlist Manager and the information will be auto-filled for you…
In other words, you’re doing it wrong. You only need to import your song cache once. After that, anything you’re deleting or adding on the Xbox, delete or add to the Setlist. That way any special characters you fixed, any song names you modified to your liking, etc. are still there. If you are constantly re-importing your cache file, you’re wasting your time and defeating the purpose of having the .setlist file. In the case of an updated Beatles song, either click on the existing one and change it to have the new data, or delete that, and drag and drop the new CON.
Edit: Speaking of asking, is it too late to ask for PDF exports to be sortable by Song as well as by Artist? Or is there a setting for that I’ve missed? What can you filter by? Pretty much anything. The options are visually self-explanatory.
[…]
really good stuff you should all read
[…]
Lastly, you can sort the data being displayed by ANY of the fields. Just click on the header name (i.e. click on “Artist” or “Album”) and the data will be sorted for you. However you have your data sorted before exporting is how your data will be exported. So if you want your songs sorted by Song instead of by Artist, click on “Song” on the list. And that’s how it’ll be when you export. The same applies to all the fields.
[…]
EXPORTING YOUR SETLIST
So what’s the point of all this filtering and modifying? Well, whatever you’re seeing in the list is what you’ll be exporting. Want to export ALL your songs? Tools – Reset all filters. Want to only export Metal songs? Click on the Genre drop-down, select Metal. Bam. Once you have the data displayed and narrowed down to what you want, click on File -> Export Setlist.
In other words, yes, it’s all there. It’s just a matter of reading the help documentation. Which to this day baffles me why nobody does. One caveat is that PDF styles Basic 1 and Basic 2, due to their intended format, work best when sorted by Artist. Currently don’t even try, as you’ll get something ridiculous due to how it was programmed. The update will have it “fixed” so it works properly, but it’ll still be a waste of paper if you sort by anything other than artist for those two styles. Detailed 1, Detailed 2 and Detailed 3 work perfectly fine with any sorting style you like. Same for the Excel and CSV exporting options.

v2.5.1
SETLIST MANAGER
- Enabled selecting of multiple songs in the song list for deleting - hold Control + click, or hold Shift + up/down arrow to select up or down
- Expanded search for unsupported characters to include two more known unsupported characters
- Made search for unsupported characters, search for possible duplicates and search for exact duplicates persistent - click on "Reset All Filters" or filter using any of the many filters to turn this off
- Considerably expanded the View Setlist Details feature to give almost every metric you could think of
- Added option to View Setlist Details feature to export the details to a text file for sharing/bragging online
- Fixed bug when exporting to PDF and sorting by Song
- Fixed bug when importing song cache con file in a specific set of circumstances
MIDI CLEANER
- Fixed bug that would fail to clean MIDI if using a non-standard time signature AND having a problem at [1]
GENERAL
- Improvements throughout the program to handling of large tasks and animations so you know the program is working and not stuck
Since there has been a trend of people having problems understanding how to use RAR files, I’ve also added an installer in the OP. Hopefully those that don’t know how to extract RAR files at least know how to run a .exe file.
This concludes all my planned work on Le Fluffie C3. Much like with Magma: C3 Roks Edition, consider my involvement at an end.
The other admins will have the source code in the event a serious issue arises that needs fixing. Any small bug or annoyances or features that didn’t quite make it, just accept them as the shortcomings of free software no longer being supported.
Enjoy.
January 24, 2014 at 11:23 pm #412864Thanks for all your work man. I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say these tools have made everyone’s lives a ton easier. At least, in relation to Rock Band custom songs.
January 28, 2014 at 6:34 pm #413062Congratulations and thank you from me too. It was really impressive how you had new functions implemented in LeFluffie so fast after they were requested (yes, I’m thinking about the depacking thing here ^^).
And thank you also for all your pieces of advice and your GH conversions.
February 1, 2014 at 1:36 am #413256Yeah, I know it’s probably too late now. But the issue that has plagued Wii venue conversion (and ultimately cost post-procs) seems to be a Beat track issue. It certainly affects the song “The Distance”, though not many other songs. I wanted to see if the solution to fixing that problem would be to backup the Beat track first, make the changes, then put it back to avoid this odd corruption issue. Or just delete and re-add since the MIDI cleaner has an option to create one, but not remove one, and not without dodging the RBN2 venue conversion.
If that works, hopefully it’s possible to see post-procs back in the conversions for a more authentic experience.
February 4, 2014 at 8:56 pm #413470Thank you very much for the setlist manager update.
But I’ve been having a problem, everytime I try to import my songcache file, I get an error:
“Value was either too large or too small for an Int16” and it asks me to re-import, but I always get the same error.
Am I doing something wrong?
February 4, 2014 at 9:18 pm #413475That means there’s a value it’s reading that is bigger than it expects it to be. Must be something “weird” with your cache I didn’t take into account. Upload it and give me a link.

I sent you a PM with a link to my song cache file.
Thanks in advance.
February 7, 2014 at 2:54 pm #413654I know, I know…I said I was leaving. But there was one thing I always knew could bring me back. And that was PS3 customs. And guess what I’m bringing you today, among other things?
Also, we’re changing names! Going forward, our collection of tools is called C3 CON Tools. It was too far removed from Le Fluffie to make sense to keep that name.
Huge changes. Read the change log. You know the drill. I’m gone again.
v2.6.0
- Since it's been brought up so many times and the program no longer resembled Le Fluffie in any way, we've renamed to C3 CON Tools.
MAKE SURE YOU UPDATE YOUR SHORTCUTS TO POINT TO C3CONTools.exe! That includes changing the path in Magma: C3 Roks Edition under ADVANCED SETTINGS.
PS3 CONVERTER (NEW!)
- Customs come to PS3! (Requires jailbroken PS3, see included Help Documentation)
- Allows you to very quickly batch convert CON/LIVE files into PS3 format
- Allows you to merge already-converted songs with your existing customs (i.e. files downloaded from C3's database)
ALBUM ART CONVERTER
- Increased in-game album art quality exponentially (about 8x the image data) - now creates 512x512 DXT5 textures instead of prior 256x256 DXT1 textures when converting to png_xbox or png_ps3
--- As of this writing, Magma: C3 Roks Edition isn't updated to accept these files natively. Refer to the updated tutorial on the Magma: C3 Roks Edition thread on how to get these higher quality album art files into your song
- Increased quality of images converted from png_xbox/png_ps3 (also noticeable in Visualizer)
- Added support for most Rock Band game textures (besides the usual album art files) - can be converted from *.png_xbox or *.png_ps3 to *.png, *.bmp, *.jpg and/or *.dds. No guarantees are made that it will work with all game textures from all Rock Band games, but over 3,000 textures from RB3 and TB:RB have been tested and worked
- Added support for input images in Targa format (*.tga)
- Removed ability to resize images on the fly when converting from png_xbox/png_ps3/png_wii - this yielded lower quality than doing so afterwards on Paint.NET or Photoshop, and allows for otherwise overall better quality as mentioned above
SETLIST MANAGER
- Fixed bug caused by old songs having Track Number 0 that would cause the Information panel to stop showing song information
- Fixed bug where certain songs would have ridiculous rating numbers that would cause the program to crash
- Fixed bug where files would not refresh when drag/dropping one Setlist after having another Setlist already opened
- Greatly improved error handling and notification during loading of the Setlists
QUICK PACK EDITOR
- Added ability to work with loose DTA files without requiring it to be in a pack
QUICK DTA EDITOR
- Fixed bug that would result in the songs.dta not opening if you hadn't told Windows how to open .dta files before
BATCH EXTRACTOR
- Fixed bug that had broken ability to use with Pro Upgrade CONs
MAIN FORM
- Re-designed the layout to account for all the latest additions
- Added ability to fully customize your experience = resize the form to your liking; make the form be borderless; right-click on the background to choose a custom background color or use a custom background image (or drag and drop the image to the form); right-click on any button to change the background color and the text color of the button; right-click on the C3 banner to make transparent or hide. All of these changes will be saved and will be there next time you run the program. If you want to share your customization, just share the main.config file found under the /bin folder. Your friend can replace his or just drag and drop it to the program
- Right-click on the background and select "Reset everything..." to put everything back to stock
Highlights of this release: PS3 customs, unprecedented quality album art and ability to convert game textures…and customization! A lot of things can be customized to your liking, check out the change log.
