thanks trojan, do i need to delete the older folder with the program, or can i just replace the older files with the new ones?
August 16, 2013 at 1:54 pm #404606Replace is fine
August 16, 2013 at 2:00 pm #404607Given how many bug fixes there are, I strongly suggest everyone who actually uses this (can you please chime in, let me know, you know?) should update to this version.Chiming in and grabbing the update! I use LeFluffie for .DTA editing, and the new versions have made this easier than ever. Thanks!
August 16, 2013 at 3:04 pm #404612ok, thanks ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
August 23, 2013 at 7:55 am #405012Updated to 2.1.2
This is mainly an update for Visualizer, based on some needs that arose this week. Some of the new features are helpful I think ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
v2.1.2
VISUALIZER
- Added ability to read and display re-record year
- Added option to display Genre (Subgenre), or just Genre, or just Subgenre
- Added option to manually move Genre/Subgenre up/down like with Year
- Added feature so if album name is blank, genre/subgenre automatically move up (can still move it down if you'd like)
- Added feature so if album name is too long, year automatically moves down
EDIT: looking at it now, I might rename the two Year fields later on. Function will be the same, so this update stays for now. Enjoy.
August 26, 2013 at 12:19 am #405110I’m using the v2.1.1 and I’m having some trouble packaging songs, I’ll download the latest and see if it works ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
edit. lol, silly me, i didn’t notice that program made two more folders inside the “songs” folder that stopped the program from collecting all the remaining songs for the pack, so no problem with the packaging ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
September 15, 2013 at 6:53 am #406248Here we go. Next big update is up. Still have to update the screenshots in the OP.
Hopefully I didn’t break anything in the process. Been testing and making changes for a few weeks now.
Enjoy.
v2.2
GENERAL
- Added shortcut support to open Wii Converter directly ("-wii")
- Created new way of displaying the help information for each part of Le Fluffie, check it out!
- Few other bug fixes and changes to how the code operates for hopefully less problems overall
WII CONVERTER (NEW!)
- Simplifies the process of converting a CON file into the necessary Wii files
- Will process single or entire folders of CON files at a time, in seconds!
- Allows you to merge a newly-downloaded Wii customs with existing songs
- Refer to the included Tutorial and Help links for more information
ALBUM ART CONVERTER 2.0
- Added support for Wii album art files (png_wii) - can convert to and from png_wii, including straight png_xbox to png_wii conversions
- Completely re-designed and re-written from scratch to be more efficient
VISUALIZER
- Fixed bug where typing into name fields would constantly move the cursor to the end of the text box
- Added support for showing quotes in the name of the song, artist or album
- Enabled showing subgenre by default except in cases where it's the same as the genre [i.e. it won't default to Rock (Rock)]
- Minor cleaning up
SONG EXPLORER
- Fixed bug where changing package / content image sometimes would not save correctly
- Renamed "Sign & Rebuild" to "Save" to make it clear you always have to save after any changes
- Added code to keep track of changes and will ask to confirm if you want to exit without saving changes
PACK CREATOR
- Added option to change the game id that the pack is for (Advanced - > Set game ID)
- Fixed bug where if you cancelled the pack creation, the buttons remained hidden and prevented you from trying again
September 16, 2013 at 5:18 am #406293Yeah man, the new Wii options are great. Soon it will become an essential part to the Wii customs scene, as small as it may be now. It’s certainly more useful all-around now.
September 16, 2013 at 11:05 am #406296Oh my god.
This… IS AMAZING.
Time to download and test out the wii converting abilities ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
September 16, 2013 at 8:38 pm #406318New developments prompted a quick update…stay tuned for more news.
v2.2.1
SONG EXPLORER
- Added ability to open Rock Band 3 song cache files
- Fixed bug where extracting extensionless files would cause a crashSeptember 17, 2013 at 12:41 am #406336The wii-conversion stuff is fantastic. The only problem is the fact that it crashes so often… generally, if you open the folders of the stuff it was processing at the time of the crash, you’ll see a .png file in the spot where the .png_wii file should be. I’m using the “open audacity to create the preview.ogg/preview.mogg” thing, if that helps. The rb3con files are not corrupt, since restarting Le Fluffie and doing the conversion process again works fine, assuming you prevent the other error from occuring by deleting the old files (the error that says something like “can’t process, file already exists” and instead of just going to the next one it halts the conversion process, forcing you to remove the files it processed before the crash).
Also, just a quick unrelated question. Does Le Fluffie (and Magma, and RB3) support the character “ð”? I’m wondering because alot of Sigur Rós’ songs use it.
September 17, 2013 at 3:11 am #406341The wii-conversion stuff is fantastic. The only problem is the fact that it crashes so often…It is definitely not supposed to crash, and much less often. Neither StackOverflowx0 nor I experienced this, so maybe you could help troubleshoot it. Provide me with the log (right click, export log). Pay attention when it happens, see at which step it happens and see if you can figure out what triggers it. It’s difficult to fix a problem I don’t experience, so I’ll need your help.
Also, just a quick unrelated question. Does Le Fluffie (and Magma, and RB3) support the character “ð”?
Le Fluffie should, Magma does not and will never support it, since MagmaCompiler rejects special characters like that and the RB3’s engine most likely will not display it correctly. It’s difficult enough to get it to show “regular” special characters as it is.
September 17, 2013 at 11:07 pm #406372It’s a hard crash, so I can’t scroll down the box or export a log. It won’t let me right-click when it’s greyed out. I tried saving a log after rebooting Le Fluffie, but it only contained the “_ number of songs in the folder” dialog.
I did, however, take lots of screenshots.
First off, what the screen looks like after a crash:
http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr21 … 17a155.png
What the place where the album art goes looks like after a crash (99% of the time):
http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr21 … ac572b.png
What the place where the album art goes looks like after a crash (the other 1% of the time):
http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr21 … 9970bb.png
This came up once, IDK if it will help:
http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr21 … c77514.png
…and that’s about all we have to work on. The “songname_extracted” folder is still there after the crash occurs and must be deleted manually.
Additionally, the GHtoRB3 songs have this really weird (and inconsistent) naming thing going on:
http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr21 … 5600ed.png
Strangely, the songname_keep.png_wii file and the other files used by the game have the correct name.
September 21, 2013 at 1:25 pm #406589One more problem has arisen: the folder merge function is faulty. It almost always merges with the wrong folder, sometimes even merging the song and meta files into the same folder. All my folders are named xxx_xxxxxxxx_song or xxx_xxxxxxxx_meta.
September 21, 2013 at 2:45 pm #406590One more problem has arisen: the folder merge function is faulty. It almost always merges with the wrong folder, sometimes even merging the song and meta files into the same folder. All my folders are named xxx_xxxxxxxx_song or xxx_xxxxxxxx_meta.First, you do realize that both StackOverflow0x and I tested this extensively before putting it out, right? Every feature that is not working for you, works repeatedly for both us. That is how he is doing the conversions right now without problems.
The process is not faulty, but you are most definitely using it wrong.
The program tells you in the HELP that you need to know how it all works for the Wii, and to follow the tutorial. The tutorial tells you to name the song folders
xxx_xxxxxxxx_songname_meta
xxx_xxxxxxxx_songname_song
both the xxx and the xxxxxxxx fields have different values, even for the same song. The only way to be able to find which is the “meta” folder when you select the “song” folder, or viceversa, is to search for the songname field and match it. If you’re not naming your folders correctly, as you suggested by your post, there is no way to do this process.
That’s not a faulty software, that’s user error.
Also, I’m going to go ahead and remind you that I DO NOT own a Wii. I have no interest in this besides being nice to you guys and helping you. I think a little appreciation would go a long way in ensuring I continue to do this.
