Broken Database Link Thread

Hello all,
At the time of this thread’s creation we have over 21,500 songs in our database which is incredible to think about (yes this includes official Harmonix content but still, quite a few songs!) and naturally after some time many of the links in the database have expired. Recently we’ve been getting a lot of reports to fix these links but as we have no control over other C3 authors’ computers, we cannot fix these links. The solution? Follow these steps:
1. If you encounter a broken link, please PM the author who uploaded the custom before posting here. Chances are they’ll respond and re-upload the file, all you need to do is ask.
2. Sometimes authors are no longer active. If so, here’s the place where you can ask other users if they have the song themselves. That user can post the link and the song will now be accessible again. On the moderator side we will take the fixed link and update the original custom with that new link so you and others won’t have to search here every time they want to download that custom.
Remember, no asking for links to official Harmonix songs.
Also if you are an author who has an invalid link we very highly recommend you make the swap from whatever your filehosting site is to C3 Universe accessible here. That way you’ll have easy access to your files, you’ll get awesome stats, you don’t have to worry about the limitations of a filehost service, and most importantly your links will never expire. At this point, there’s simply no reason not to!
