Edit: on top of that, why are many of the notes on guitar HOPOs instead of strumming notes? I think they’re slow enough that merely charting them as strumming notes could maintain playability.
Curious: how do they impact playability?
I know that some people have an easier/harder time playing with a long line of strumming notes than with HOPOs, and vice versa. I guess that’s what I meant by “playability.”

Right on. I was going to say you /can/ still strum them if that’s easier but I can see the aesthetic causing problems. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>

Definably. I have more issues with a long line of strumming notes than anything else really… Specifically when it is the same exact note (or set of notes).
