September 1, 2013 at 3:37 pm #405497Ah, shit. I hope it’s not because of my software. I have the right version of Reaper, but might re-install just in case that’s the cause. Sorry.
The only things that look like they may cause ‘issues’ are some minor note overlaps, but I don’t think those would cause it to crash on load. I redrew it all, took about eight and a half minutes, gonna test it here in the next little while.
It’s definitely a weird one.
September 5, 2013 at 4:17 pm #405692Sorry it ended up being so much trouble. I really appreciate the effort, though.

September 7, 2013 at 12:57 am #405775I just installed the new harmonies and it put Juke Joint Jezebel under Rock Band 2. Not a big deal but I thought you should know.
September 7, 2013 at 2:08 am #405777I just installed the new harmonies and it put Juke Joint Jezebel under Rock Band 2. Not a big deal but I thought you should know.Yeah, that’s a thing that is happening. I don’t know if it’s the DTAs I got or what. I haven’t had time to screw around and see why.
September 9, 2013 at 4:01 pm #405916Hi, how can i add these upgrades to the song itself without having to “trick” the song cache? i mean where do they go? on the songs folder with the song data and the DTA? or do i have to create another folder just for the update?
September 9, 2013 at 4:45 pm #405917Hi, how can i add these upgrades to the song itself without having to “trick” the song cache? i mean where do they go? on the songs folder with the song data and the DTA? or do i have to create another folder just for the update? You’d need to replace the songs.dta file in the package and merge the two .mid files (the original from the song and the upgrade .mid) together in REAPER (or the DAW/editor of your choice), re-export it, and replace the .mid in the package.
September 9, 2013 at 4:51 pm #405918so, just replace the data on the .dta with the one on the update and merge the two midi’s with reaper? ok then, thanks ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
September 9, 2013 at 5:06 pm #405919Yep, that should do the trick.
n.b. you’ll need to resign as a CON file, so it won’t work under TU5.
September 9, 2013 at 6:29 pm #405926umm could you please explain how to merge both midi’s with reaper, im a total noob with these kind of programs
September 10, 2013 at 1:01 am #405962umm could you please explain how to merge both midi’s with reaper, im a total noob with these kind of programsStep One: Import one .mid. Make sure you’re at the beginning of the track (Insert -> Media File).
Step Two: Import the other .mid. Make sure you’re at the beginning of the track.
Step Three: Export them to a new .mid (File -> Export Project MIDI). Make sure the tempo map is preserved.
Honestly, if you’re not familiar with that (or can’t get it via experimentation), you may run into some problems trying to integrate them into your original songs. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif”>
September 10, 2013 at 1:20 pm #405980i think i get it, im gonna try it, thanks for the tips mate ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

Just remember to BACK UP YOUR ORIGINAL FILES and then feel free to play around a bit. It’s possible I’m forgetting/missing something, so if you find a step that isn’t quite right, let me know. I don’t officially endorse or support this (tampering with official DLC files), but I get why some people would want it.

September 19, 2013 at 1:52 pm #406463Trudging along at a good pace for next week, though I’ve had to do some schedule shuffling so I won’t have videos up as early as I’d like. There is one extremely awesome keys/harmonies pick coming out in this release that may have flown under your radar.
I’m also thinking of tracking the time invested for one of the November releases, start to finish, just to see what the time consumption is like. Might be a cool exercise, or a very scary one. I want to start with one of those as it would be starting from scratch (the October one already has some pieces done).
