Officially available for Xbox 360 and Wii. As for PS3? Well, never say never…What is this?
The Rock Band: Harmonies Project is an ongoing project that started out primarily adding vocal harmonies to pre-Rock Band 3 official DLC tracks that did not have them, but has since expanded into a bigger project looking to add other features, fixes and optional variants to pre-RB3 DLC and RBN 1.0 tracks. At this time, the types of features currently falling under the RB:HP umbrella are the following:- Vocal harmony upgrades.
- Pro drum upgrades (for RBN 1.0 songs).
- Custom Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrades.
- Keys/Pro Keys upgrades.
- Non-score impacting fixes for songs, both pre- and post-RB3.
- Variants allowing you to further customize library sorting (e.g. different album/artist classifications).
- New chart variants, such as misheard lyrics or rhythm-on-keys (only for songs without an existing keys part).
As of this writing, we have currently provided upgrades for all pre-Rock Band 3 core game discs (track packs are not yet complete) as well as a large assortment of DLC content (see the spreadsheet for a full summary).
How does it work?
The project allows us to issue upgrades by taking advantage of Harmonix’s existing “upgrade” format used for official pro guitar/pro bass upgrades. These upgrades allow us to replace and add charts to songs that did not previously have them while leaving your original content intact. By using this upgrade format, we do not have to distribute the original audio or other components of the original package, ensuring that file sizes are small and piracy is nearly non-existent.Adding harmonies and keys upgrades, or making changes to song information, requires an additional “tricking the song cache” step, explained in the documentation. All other upgrades (e.g. fixes and pro guitar/bass/drums) merely require the applicable upgrade file being introduced into your system.
Best of all, since this process uses the upgrade schema, which still works with CONs under Title Update 5, RB:HP upgrades can be deployed in both a customs-friendly TU4 environment and an online-friendly TU5 environment.
For more information, please visit the spreadsheet and review the main page’s FAQ and the Questions/Comments page for answers to many received questions; if your question has not been answered here or there, feel free to reply with your question or e-mail the project e-mail address.

Thanks

Yes.
June 12, 2013 at 11:23 am #401178The project is one year old today.
Well, technically yesterday, but the one year anniversary of the first release was today.
Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that it was coming up until this past weekend, so… no surprise release or anything. Sorry. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif”>

Well, happy birthday anyway!
June 12, 2013 at 12:36 pm #401182If it’s any consolation, the next three releases should be considerably meaty!
I just need to find time to do all the behind-the-scenes prep work. t.t
June 12, 2013 at 2:35 pm #401184happy birthday to your project.
are you surprised you’ve lasted this long? both in not getting a C&D from HMX and in not giving up yourself?
congrats!
June 12, 2013 at 2:43 pm #401185I said I would finish it and I intend to finish it. It’s got a decent-size following now, too — the days of 3-4 downloads per release are long gone now, so my chance to bail has passed. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif”>
I am surprised I haven’t burned out yet, but I think the variety of artists in (almost) every release keeps it fresh, and it’s certainly far more exciting for me when I get submissions from other characters via e-mail as it means I can (try) to prepare subsequent releases ahead of schedule or even just get some time to actually play Rock Band.
I am certainly grateful and surprised Harmonix hasn’t told me to stop yet. I remember being in the Harmonix livestream for the “end of DLC announcement” and seeing people spamming the chatbox with chatter about RB:HP while hoping it didn’t bring the hammer down, heh.

From the Positive Feedback Department: columbo777 has always been drawn to the high harmony in “Round and Round”. Last week, we finally got to play it the way he’s always wanted to. It was even more epic than the very first time we played it over 5 years ago!
June 13, 2013 at 4:38 am #401252Keys scores for “Panic Attack” and “Tom Sawyer Original Version” appeared today. Would it have anything to do with this? It would be exciting to see them turn up as part of a RBHP release.

A new-to-the-project little birdie told me they might be sending me a Tom Sawyer chart, but I’ve heard nothing on Panic Attaack.
June 13, 2013 at 2:56 pm #401289I would love a keys chart for Tom Sawyer!
Also, Don’t Stop Believing and Roll With The Changes. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
June 13, 2013 at 3:06 pm #401291Not only that Did I LOVE the Round and Round fix (I can finally sing this song properly!), a member did a PRO for round and round. It is NOT up to standards yet, so I am fixing it up. Bass is done and only the SOLO on guitar is left to do! (But its a hell of a solo)
Also: here are 5 more groomed to work with RBHP:
