I’ve been tempted to do something by Ween off of 12 Country Greats (about half of which is actually country).

Friends in low places by Garth brooks would be awesome!

Any Garth Brooks. Brooks is pretty much my cut-off line between country I enjoy and stuff I dislike.

I’m sure they aren’t as popular, but if we’re talking country music some great Red Dirt/Alt-Country bands would work great in Rock Band (Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Turnpike Troubadors, Shooter Jennings, etc)

One song that would be perfect is Thunderbird Wine by Jason Boland. (

Speaking of Alt-Country, more Neko Case would be amazing, especially stuff off of Middle Cyclone.

Hey guys! This is my first official post on here as I just found C3. And as it is in most marriages, happy wife happy life lol. I myself am an 80’s hair band freak and metal head that just so happened to marry a country girl. After 13 years of marriage, that does eventually enter your bloodstream. We like some of those posts we read already in here, but here are a few of our suggestions.

      Brad Paisley – Alcohol

Zac Brown Band – Chicken Fried

      Garth Brooks – That Summer

Miranda Lambert ft. Carrie Underwood – Somethin ‘ Bad

Eric Church – Smoke A Little Smoke

      The Band Perry – Done

      Jason Aldean – Hicktown

Luke Bryan – Country Girl ( Shake It For Me )

Kenny Chesney – I Go Back

Yes I know that is more party themed, but hey it is Rockband right? Plus, I need to keep all my wife’s nurse girlfriends who come over happy What y’all think?

Let’s see if we can get some traction in this thread! Let’s face it, country isn’t exactly the genre of choice amongst the authors that generously take of their time to chart songs for all our enjoyment. Don’t think we’re helping our cause by having specific country artist threads. Even if it means just one song once a quarter, it’s a start. Also while I wouldn’t mind me some George Jones, George Strait, Hank III, etc, I think we stand a better chance getting something current on rockband. C’mon y’all let’s get this train rollin!

I’d love to see more Country in RB. I’m not a huge country fan myself, but I do like some of it. Garth Brooks is pretty good and I like Alcohol by Brad Paisley.

I’d be quite happy to get some Urban-Cowboy-era country, or any old country, really. Official DLC saw Johnny Cash and a smidgeon of other classic country tunes, but really, we could have used a lot more, like…

            Alabama – “Mountain Music”

            John Anderson – “Swingin'”

David Allen Coe – “You Never Even Call Me by My Name”

            Terri Gibbs – “Somebody’s Knockin'”

Juice Newton – “Queen of Hearts”

            Dolly Parton – “9 to 5”

Eddie Rabbitt – “Driving My Life Away”

Hank Williams, Jr. – “I’m for Love”

The song in bold can be found in Nunchucks thread. He also made The Ride by David Allan Coe & Cruise by Florida Georgia line. Check out his thread

Any luck on having any country songs authored before the release of Rockband 4? I know that the country genre isn’t at the top of the list, but I thought no harm in asking right? Thanks Spindoctor for the last thread you pointed out.

Probably not but something, albeit small, was in the works some time ago, maybe it will happen.
