i recently found out from a friend that rock band customs are a thing? and i was like whoa holy shit!! i used to dream abt having some of my favorite songs on the game and now i can make it actually happen??? so since then ive spent a few months learning the ropes of how to do this, studying the docs + other peoples charts, and i think now im ready to share my stuff with the community!

 

mind i dont actually have a solid rb setup right now, so i cant really,, actually test the songs in the game… i take as much care as possible to make everything good during the process, but please do let me know if theres any serious issues when it comes to actually playing it in the game!

 

so anyway i thought it would be a good idea to list my upcoming songs like most people do so no one else takes them – so here they are,

 

these songs are basically done, i just need to put some finishing touches on them:

 

• amerie – 1 thing

 

• the anniversary – all things ordinary

 

• crying – there was a door

 

• from first to last – note to self

 

• hop along – tibetan pop stars

 

• jimmy eat world – for me this is heaven

 

• kitty – 285

 

• lcd soundsystem – all my friends

 

• los camesinos! – death to los campesinos!

 

• the microphones – the moon

 

• modest mouse – edit the sad parts

 

• the postal service – such great heights

 

• silversun pickups – kissing families

 

• turnover – dizzy on the comedown

• american football – uncomfortably numb

 

• sweet trip – your world is eternally complete

 

• my chemical romance – drowning lessons

 

• hellogoodbye – shimmy shimmy quarter turn (take it back to square one)

i dont generally tend to plan ahead a lot, i kinda just go with whatever im feeling most when its time to start a new song, so ill keep this post free of a long “stuff i might wanna do” list! also im a bit of a perfectionist control freak type so im not super into collabs, dw its nothing personal though

If you ever want anyone to test your stuff, just ask! No guarantees who can test what at any given time, but plenty of charters are happy to help when they can, especially if it means another favorite song getting in the game.

Wow awesome to have another charter around, with some good taste too! Especially looking forward to that MCR song, and if you are interested I charted the whole first album for phase shift with good guitar/bass/drums expert charts to build off of, so if you’re ever interested in doing anything else from that album and would like a little head start, let me know!

If you cannot test the songs yourself, PLEASE do not upload them to the database before you had someone else test them for you, as there are so many things that can wrong even when Magma doesn’t stop you from building a custom. Ask around the forum for people interested in testing, and share your WIP files with them, or even post them in this thread.
