Not sure if this would be better as a reply in StackOverflow0x ‘s Wii custom tutorial, but I went ahead an created a new post obviously.

Problem 1. Unable to find fstoolbox in homebrew channel.

Problem 2. SD card “unknown error” in RB3

The first solution is to a problem I ran into while following the instructions(which btw were very easy to follow) in the wii tutorial. I had a problem resetting the cache, FStoolbox would not appear as an app in my homebrew channel for whatever reason. So if I packed some songs incorrectly or just wanted to add different songs to the pack, I couldnt repackage them because I couldn’t’ reset the cache.

My work around was to open fstoolbox through the wii app WiiXplorer from the homebrew channel. Once I did that I followed the instructions as normal and was able to reset the cache.

Second problem. I ran into this one on my own and couldn’t find a solution to it in the forums, some people had a similar problem but for different reasons. My SD card became unusable after a night of long rocking. After trying to enable SD card mode as usual RB3 informed me that there was an “unknown error” with the sd card and disabled sd mode, making me lose access to my legit rb2 export and rb3 dlc along with my lovely customs acquired right here from c3. Tried resetting the game, cache, and even popping in a different sd card to no avail. After becoming very frustrated, and trying a few solutions I decided to delete my rb3 save file from the Wii as a last attempt. That worked. I had lost all my band progress and such, but who cares all my songs were accessible again.

My guess is that the night before, while playing, I shut the wii off while it was trying to load from the SD and something went haywire. So backup that save in case you ever run into this problem and have to delete your file.

      Hope this helps someone. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
