I sat through the entire twenty minute video earlier. I have to say I was impressed with the volume of the catalogue, the tempo mapping (which, at least in the snippets showed, seemed great to me — this is an area a lot of people struggle), and the diversity of track selections. You’ve hit the type of stuff we’d like to be putting out spot on the nose, so that’s a big plus.

I do have to say there were a couple of things in pretty much every chart that seemed a little off to me — primarily the odd notes that felt like they were left out or something feeling off with the way you had them ascending/descending the cart — but hey, when I was starting out my charts were a goddamn trainwreck compared to those, so it’s definitely a solid start. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>

Don’t take that too harshly or the wrong way, though — we all have areas where we can improve, and I think you’ve got the right attitude for this sort of thing.

If you’re looking to do collaboration-style projects and get other people in for drums/vocals and optionally keys, I’d say the best plan is probably looking at working on a small subset of your existing back catalogue at a time — it makes it easier to focus on getting those guitar and bass parts up to speed. I might take a look at a couple of those picks and see about authoring drums/vocals, but I’ll have to look the list over again and see what I feel I can hammer out in a reasonable amount of time.
