Apologies for the duplicated post – I had originally put the feelers-out on this one before I started it in a different forum but this is the correct place for it now.
After almost three months I have finally completed the guitar, vocals and drum part for the full 12-minute version of Meat Loaf – Id Do Anything For Love. Im just working through the reductions. After thinking long and hard about it, Im not going to attempt bass or keys. Keys for this track I could be trying to chart for the next several years as I have zero experience as it stands, and on bass I sometimes dont hear it as it should be and make a mess of it. And I dont want to make a mess of this one because it is such an iconic song. Therefore Ill ask again if there is anybody out-there who wants to tackle either the bass or keys tracks (a large proportion of which was originally done by Ultimate_MANG0 when he charted the original shorter edit of the song), possibly someone who will play those tracks and can develop them in their style, PM me and I will give you a link to the files.
I can’t vouch for how much of the album version it covers, but there is a keys transcription of the song published by Hal Leonard.
The midi files Ive found and sheet music I sourced were all written for the shorter versions of the song, which miss the 2-minute intro and solos, and another long section in the middle. The structure of the verses are also different and different lengths, so you cant just copy the music written for the short versions into the long one. They all still need editing. Thats what takes so long.
