Hi, I’ve been wanting to switch back to playing Rock Band 3 with an ekit, however, I can’t seem to find a place to buy the Midi Pro Adapters for xbox 360 anywhere.

Does anyone know a good place to look for these, or is there an alternative that can be used?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    hanks.

This is really weird. I just bought mine maybe 2 months ago for 30 bucks. Did amazon run out?

I’ve seen them on ebay, but the price is very high. Between 300 and 400 CAD$.

For PS3 and Wii they are in normal price range.

They must have restocked them a while back and then sold out. Maybe they’ll restock them soon.

I don’t think there is going to be restocks any time soon, unless they make a new batch, which I very doubt.

I don’t know why sellers think they can get rich quick by setting a price of hundreds of dollars for something that sold for $20-$40 a matter of a month or two ago. I’m glad I stocked up on these when they were cheap.

            Maybe like in this video?

I don’t know if this really works though…

This seems to be a RB2 video (since there’s no mention of the cymbals), but maybe with proper MIDI notes (the ones from the MPA instruction manual) it works?

Would be a decent workaround if it does work for pro drums, but wouldn’t be for keyboard or guitar, sadly.

Just tried it, and no luck for pro drums and I have to hit the pads really, really hard for them to register, and only the red and blue works (though this part might be a MIDI signal problem… but with only my edrums, everything works fine).

So, in a nutshell, I had high hopes for this workaround, but it doesn’t work

After seeing the ridiculous prices for the pro adapter, I really hope that mine will work for a loooooonnnngggg time….

Yeah, it’s kinda sad to see that it would be less expensive to buy both a PS3 and the PS3 MPA than only the xbox MPA. />.>” title=”>.>” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

Guess I’ll have to go for the PS3 route if I wanted to play again. Unfortunate since I have a lot of RBN songs on xbox360 already. Thanks for the replies though everyone.

correct me if i am wrong but the guitar hero world tour drum kit had a midi input and i thought you could hook up an ekit to that and play through it – i guess you would lose a drum pad but it might be better than nothing

OP where are you located ?
