I’m thinking about making overcharts alongside my normal charts. What is the etiquette for posting these? Are they allowed? Should they be posted separately, or should the overchart be a miscellaneous file attached to the main chart’s entry? The difficulties would obviously be different, so I’m conflicted.
Any advice will be appreciated.
I don’t see why they would not be allowed.
You could create upgrade files that users could bundle with C3 CON Tools. These only contain the midi data and a little more, so they are a lot smaller.
Try creating an upgrade file using the Harmonies Project tools, for only one song, and analyse the structuren and contents of the file with C3 CON Tools. Your upgrade file could do the same; replace tracks with overcharts and update the difficulties. You could also use the RBHP packager, of course.
The “other” tag in the Other Downloads field is probably the best choice.
You are about to leave Rhythm Gaming World and access the external songs DB. While no song or file sold for commercially available videogames is hosted there and only fan generated content is allowed, Rhythm Gaming World has no direct control over the database and no files are hosted here. Alright, we had to made you aware of this, now you can visit the database!
