Hi all,
School holidays are nearly here. I have 4 teenage neices (13 & 17) and I’m looking for song suggestions as a way to get them interested and to showcase RB3. They have sung taylor swift before. The younger ones like to sing along to youtube videos etc, and are learning real instruments, so may know some songs, so thats my way in. They may only want to sing/harmonies. I’ll ask them what they like/know and see if I have any of it.
So what are the “kids” into these days?
I have most of RB exports incl blitz/lego.
let me know artists or songs?
Thanks in advance.

April 12, 2017 at 1:40 pm #483882Chainsmokers, Ed Sheeran, Twenty One Pilots. Pretty much all I can think of off the top of my head. Rock Band 4 pretty much has you covered. They’ve got a lot of pop DLC there. As for making customs, you might want to look through Billboard’s top 100’s.
April 12, 2017 at 2:56 pm #483883Well, today teenagers prefers more pop/indie songs, not like 10 years before generes: nu metal, punk rock, a little pop and hip hop, the most wanted artists for teenagers today: lady gaga, byoncé, rihanna, marina and dimonds, ariana grande, nicki minaj, chainsmokers, justin bieber, sia, david guetta, imagine dragons, coldplay, taylor swift, maroon 5, charli xcx, the weeknd and some of mass media, some band are cool, others i dont like much.
One tip to your search, search on mtv website, like bloke says billboard top 100, youtube (vevo) and some events live shows online, listen the today radio stations, you will find the greatest teenagers song to chart.
some suggestions:
Tove Lo – Cool Girl
Dua lipa – Blow your mind
Ellie goulding – Love me like you do
silentó – watch me
Taylor swift – Bad blood
Ariana grande – Problem
clean bandit – rockabye

April 12, 2017 at 10:55 pm #483894I don’t think age and music artist/genre is something you can mix. Anyone from any age can like any kind of music. I listened to metal when I was about that age and knew quite a few girls who did the same; I mean… everyone is different.

yes is true, i have 24 years, and i love songs that was older than me, metal is the most lovable style to me, if anyone ask me what genre i prefer i say, anyone, music is immortal, and rock never dies!
April 13, 2017 at 6:45 am #483910Well, I spoke to the younger ones and their responses were.
Ed Sheeran
Taylor Swift
Bruno Mars
Train – Hey, Soul Sister
The Weekend
Rihanna
Auli’i cravalho
Allday
So between what’s already been mentioned, I think I have enough to start with.
Also, I’m not interested in charting songs for teenagers, which is why I’m looking for existing songs.
April 13, 2017 at 9:50 am #483911Just a suggestion but you can also give a try to songs that are not in the Hot 100 anymore, but that they know from movies, talking about Guardians Of The Galaxy and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, if they’ve seen these two, your weapons of choice are:
David Bowie – Heroes
The Beatles -Something
Redbone – Come And Get Your Love
The Jackson 5 – I Want You Back
Dexys Midnight Runners – Come On Eileen

Allday
April 13, 2017 at 12:17 pm #483914That was my exact reaction at the time. I’m like, they can’t have a name like all day. Sure enough, some Australian rapper dude. WTF.
