March 4, 2017 at 11:31 pm #482278I greatly agree. I +1 this, but at the same time I had kind of already started charting a few of their songs a couple years ago. I’ll try to work on them again, I love Adam Ant and we could use some of their songs. Expect “Goody Two Shoes”, “Friend Or Foe”, and/or “Strip” somewhat kinda soon, maybe.

March 5, 2017 at 5:20 pm #482307+1 for all Adam/Ants songs.
Got tickets to see him in October, so any/all of ‘Kings’ would be awesome.

Clash
It blows my mind there’s only one Clash custom in the database (City of the Dead by Sygenysis)… definitely not on my short-list of songs I’d love in my library (no offense, Syg!
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> )I’d love to see Straight to Hell, even though it’s a bit mellow and I’m not sure how fun it would be as a full band experience… nonetheless, it’s a damn classic. If you don’t know it, readers, you might recognize it as the sampled basis of M.I.A.’s Paper Planes. I’d contribute vocals to the original version.
I’d also love to see Safe European Home. It feels timely.
And, of course, Career Opportunities. No more words required.
I realize the Clash have a ton of material worthy of consideration, but I tend to prefer their earlier, more punky, less dubby stuff (not that their musical evolution goes in a bad direction!). Cheers!
[Edit] Not to hijack your thread, but I thought I’d drop this Joe Strummer gem here from after the Clash broke up…
