I will post anything asking about requests for songs, and simple stuff, but everything i post, gets locked, or completely taken off, and i have no idea why, it seems that some people just like to have power and use it as much as they can, (i try not to offend when i say that) i just would love to know why this happens, and, does anyone know how to take off old posts, because i would like to edit my posts, but when i do, it seems as if no one sees them, so I want to take the old ones off and just make a new post
Well, seeing as that one of them you requested a song that is RB4 DLC, that’s one reason why. This site is supportive of Harmonix and does not allow postings or requests of anything that is or has been in an RB game.
As for any others, idk.

I’m glad that you care enough to ask and it sucks when ‘you don’t know why’ some things happen when you don’t think you’ve done anything wrong……..
The best friendly piece of advice I can give you is this……There are announcements and pinned items on the top left hand side of the front page of any sub forum. They are not there to take up space, in fact, they are there to help you out so you don’t have to ask these type of questions. Please take the time to read them thoroughly and you won’t have to worry about your stuff getting locked.

That’s why I asked if anyone knows how to delete posts, because when i edit old posts, they’re not seen at all, and I think of a song, I think i’l forget it so i put it on right away

If you edit a post, you can reply to that post saying that you added more requests. This will bump it and allow others to see it.
Today I found your request thread in the customs discussions subforum instead of the requests subforum: if you can’t even be bothered to post in the correct section, how can you expect anybody to be bothered to work hours to create a song you wanted? And that’s why it got deleted. As far as I know it’s the only one that got deleted. A month ago or so you asked content released by Harmonix because you couldn’t be bothered even reading the rules. And you think it’s a problem with people who “like to have power”? You think it’s our vocation in life to have to delete and lock threads because users can’t even read the rules and we have nothing better to do?
Requests are absolutely welcome on this site as long as a.) you do it respectfully in the correct forum and b.) you follow the rules which are very easy to understand. Unfortunately you failed on both counts, but do try again, because people like me read the request forum frequently for inspiration!

But you see, it said customs, so i thought that was the right one, you don’t have to be a jerk and just completely take it off, if i had someway of knowing that, “HEY if i edit it people WILL see it” then i would have, instead of focusing on the dumbest rules you have, (kinda like the government focusing on weed instead of real crimes) just be like “aye, change this” and i will instead of locking it or completely taking it off just be like “oh dude that’s one that’s already on Rockband you’ll need to buy that one” and I’ll just be like “sorry fam didn’t see it” and i’ll take that request off, because i have looked a few up and just went like “shoot i’ll go buy it” and i find a code that’s like 10 bucks, and i straight buy it. i don’t try and get free songs, i go on this site everyday because i’m passionate about Rockband, not because i’m passionate about finding free songs
Now I think I’m beginning to understand why Trojan Nemo runs short on patience.
And herein lies the problem, you present your position and how the overall community behaves, to newcomers and they respond with words like “jerk and “dumb rules” but yet they claim to not want to offend?
Granted you those words are not inflammatory, but there is definitely a disregard for the worth of those rules and the actions of the moderator.

This boy is a treat. In the time it took you to type out your little complaints. You could have read the rules and done a basic easy search of the songs first. This site has been here long before you arrived. So why should they change THEIR rules to accommodate YOU. LOL And even when multiple people explain it to you. You still get lippy. Follow and READ the rules or you can leave. Nobody will miss you. lol

bruh, i don’t care if people will miss me, i don’t want them to change the rules, i want them to be realistic with their rules when they enforce them, as i implied up there, the one time i asked for Basket Case, i did search it, but UH OH!!! GREEN DAY IS A POPULAR BAND!!!! it’s not like i could ever possibly…..pass one of the songs while searching….right? either way, something so very simple, doesn’t need a temporary BAN FROM THE SITE!! instead of sitting there on all your god dam thrones thinking you’re so high and mighty over the screen, do something smart like tell me “hey dude this is the wrong section” or “that song is DLC” or you know, warn me that you will temporary ban me, to give time for me to explain myself at all, and no, i don’t think that it’s your life purpose to ban people off of here, but you have a damn good time doing it while others can do nothing don’t ya?

How many times do you think we should do that before we run out of patience? 10? 100? 1000? How many times do you like repeating yourself before you get annoyed? Rules are in place for a reason. That reason is so we don’t have to be constantly policing the forums. Don’t like it, get the hell out. Simple.

if you all run out of patience so quickly why do you run a site with thousands of people that go on it?
