Been playing a ton of shows mode since the patch come out transferring scores to the leaderboards and some of my big gripes with the mode is that you can’t customize the types of songs or choices the game outputs. Personally i can’t stand the categories like “Something alternative”, “Women on vocals”. While some people may like this i wish there were more options like “only song names” or “band names” or options to only play songs you haven’t gold starred.
Yeah, Rock Band 4 still seriously lacks options when it comes to narrowing down music choices. There’s been that problem particularly with quickplay since the game came out, especially considering Rock Band 3 did that so well.
I do disagree to an extent though, because part of what made shows mode good for parties was that you don’t spend time arguing over which song to play, you just choose a category and groan together if it’s a song you didn’t want to play. Perhaps a checkbox list somewhere in options (like with battle items in Super Smash Brothers, perhaps) to add/remove categories, but I feel otherwise it’s a good system.
While it’s cool to address some of the issues with the game and give your opinion, don’t you think it’s a little bit too much to link your own videos everytime you start your own thread? Aren’t reddit and social media enough?
Anyways… I like using the shows mode with my friends, who tend to spend way too much time to pick a song. More options or filters would be nice though, I read that some people were having trouble regarding the difficulty of the songs. But at least it forces us to play other stuff than we usually would… I tend to pick the hardest songs overall.
Wow, how many different places did you start a thread on this topic?
You are about to leave Rhythm Gaming World and access the external songs DB. While no song or file sold for commercially available videogames is hosted there and only fan generated content is allowed, Rhythm Gaming World has no direct control over the database and no files are hosted here. Alright, we had to made you aware of this, now you can visit the database!
