Tempo change mid-song

    Can a tempo change from 86bpm to 122bpm from a long intro to the point where vocals start cause a weird ‘delay’ in pipes for vocals?

    I have a custom I’m working with just vox for now.

    It has a long instrumental 86bpm intro but changes to 122 when signing starts.

    Tempo map seems right, but the final CON file has vocal pipes delayed by about 1-1/2 measures.

    Everything looks perfect in Reaper, but the CON is delayed.

    Check your time signature markers.

    Thanks Far.

     

    I suspect that might be the problem.

     

    With this song, I have the option of clipping the intro and doing a ‘radio cut’ version, which is way easier.

     

    I may try this and get the tempo map corrected, then ask for some further advice to get the intro added later.
