I am not sure if this question has been asked before but I was wondering how many songs you will have for Rock Band 4 assuming all official DLC (not RBN), and exports except Rock Band 3 carry over?
I’m currently at 794 but will probably be just over 800 before launch.
September 17, 2015 at 2:19 pm #455200Too much math involved in getting your total song count, substracting RBN and RB3, plus the unknown songs that may not be available at launch.
For me that’s about 100-120 songs in the air, so maybe 850 + the RB4 on disc songs?
September 17, 2015 at 4:58 pm #455209Exact number? I have no clue….probabily around 1000.
September 17, 2015 at 5:35 pm #455212Every one that is available minus the PS4 launch exclusive songs. No idea how many that will end up being.
September 17, 2015 at 6:00 pm #455214Somewhere in the 600-700 territory. Really gonna miss the RB3 tracks though.
September 17, 2015 at 6:02 pm #4552151200-ish, again assuming Harmonix can make good on their word to move everything forward, exports and pulled DLC included, and again assuming no last-minute surprises like what happened to Soundgarden and the Chili Peppers when RB3 launched.

Shame we don’t have this super cool drop-your-songcache setlist manager tool some guy totally made.

September 18, 2015 at 12:23 am #455231I’m hoping that its possible to have 1900 – 2000 songs to play at launch assuming you bought all the official DLC.
September 18, 2015 at 12:26 am #455232Considering the RB store only lists some 1920 or so songs, and we know many of those won’t be available at launch or at all, that seems unlikely. I would say for those with all dlc purchased, you can think about 1600-1700 songs max. Still, damn impressive.
September 18, 2015 at 1:07 am #455234about 1600-1700 songs. Is that the most content transferred between console generations, and also one of a handful of times it’s been done period ?
September 18, 2015 at 2:11 am #455236I got no personal knowledge of this, but it’s what’s been said on the HMX forums.
September 18, 2015 at 3:47 am #455239According to my official DLC setlist for RB3:
DLC = 1790 songs (includes SchickTrackPack)(Includes duplicate songs that have RB3 versions)
Green Day: Rock Band = 44 songs
Lego Rock Band = 45
Rock Band = 55
Rock Band 2 = 79
Rock Band 3 = 83
So subtracting Rock Band 3 songs = 2013 possible songs.
Of course not everything will transfer to RB4 right away or maybe never but these are the possibilities. The only song that I don’t have officially is Miley Cyrus “Party in the USA” which was pulled from the store almost immediately. I must of downloaded the Miley pack later on that day.
October 2, 2015 at 1:23 pm #456430Bought all the Harmonix official DLC and everything that could have been exported (AC/DC, Green Day, Lego, RB1, RB2, etc.)…so I’m sure I’ll be back close to 2,000 songs or so. I really hope Harmonix figures out a way/can get licenses to export RB3 into RB4. Even with the keys heavy songs in there (“Imagine”), I’d still love to have them export into RB4.

Imagine playing keys on guitar, it’s easy if you try. No keys, no stage kit, and no practice mode too. Oooh, ohhhh.
