I have seen a few requests for songs from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and I think there is some really great potential there. For those of you who are not familiar with the movie, definitely give it a watch! It’s based off a series of equally awesome graphic novels and the movie has a lot of video game humor/references. It has a great soundtrack with a number of original songs written by Beck that are performed by the lead character’s band Sex Bob-Omb. Another fictional band in the movie does a cool version of Metric’s Black Sheep.

I have already started on one of the Sex Bob-Omb songs and will probably do a few of these on my own, but I would love to collaborate! At minimum, the pack should have:

Sex Bob-Omb – Treshold (in progress)

    Sex Bob-Omb – Garbage Truck

    Metric – Black Sheep

    other possibilities from the soundtrack:

    Sex Bob-Omb – We Are Sex Bob-Omb!

    Sex Bob-Omb – Summertime

    Black Lips – O Katrina!

The Rolling Stones – Under My Thumb

Crash and the Boys – We Hate You Please Die

    Plumtree – Scott Pilgrim

Frank Black – I Heard Ramona Sing

Charting out Sex Bob-Omb songs has already been a pretty fun experience since the album versions done by the band are made to sound like they are played by a mediocre garage band (sloppy timing, overly distorted, fast and messy) but so far it seems like Threshold is going to be a blast. If anyone is good with charting synth, Black Sheep has a pretty heavy synth presence that will probably be the trickiest part of releasing that custom. Please post here if you are interested in helping with any of these. Thanks!

I actually tried to chart that once, turns out each part plays what appears to be completely different time signatures and I just couldn’t wrap my head around it. If anybody would be able to tempomap it correctly though I’ll throw it in
