As I look through the great list of customs, I recall playing the Lips karaoke games on the 360, which sported some pretty great songs. Any chance one of you has considered using this game as a base for customs? Would be cool…

Not on the Subject of Lips but, Singstar is a game very close to my heart and songs probably will come from singstar.

Assuming Lips or Singstar even use separate stems the way RB does, the most I would expect any song from those two games to be is karaoke. While karaoke is always better than no multitracks at all, vocals is (from my experience talking with RB players over the years) the least-used instrument, so a lot of people wouldn’t benefit from having karaoke audio at all.

^ I think it’s meant more in the sense that the chart data could be used as a base, but I honestly have no idea if it’s been ripped or is even in a useful format.

The level of precision we need for the game is nowhere near the level that games like Lips and Singstar employ (I know it for a fact). Add that to the fact that such games have extremely popular songs for which MIDIs are 99% of the times already available. Add that to the fact that such games are single player experiences unless it comes to duets, so all harmonies information is not available there (while it is in music MIDIs). All that adds up to “useless”. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>

If somebody deciphers the format, I could always try to add support to EOF and my lyric conversion program.

I always thought about it, but Farottone obviously knows what he’s talking about. I saw this and immediately thought fake plastic trees!
