Here is where I will put all the songs I have converted from the Frets on Fire Drum Project 5.
Songs will have Overdrive added, as well as have all other difficulties lowered by me (And not CAT) ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> Message me if you want to add any instruments. Feedback is always welcome, but remember, I didn’t chart these, only convert them.

Honestly, I’m sorry but I just can’t read any more of these comments. “CAT” is not synonimous with “badly reduced charts”, which is sadly what the CAT Visualizer icon turned out to make people think. CAT is a set of tools that have helped cut down authoring times dramatically. Reductions are reductions, that’s it, regardless of how you do them. If you launch the automation tools and do not tweak the reductions, you are using the automation tools in the wrong way. And the fact that you do the reductions by hand does not guarantee they will be correct, it just guarantees that it will take more time. Hey, let’s be clear, everybody can waste their own time as they wish, but please don’t make it a point to tell people that something is better because you didn’t use tools that took months to develop.
Also, personal suggestion: trying to do accurate reductions is great but make sure the original chart is good first, which is more important.

While I was doing reductions for a recent forum release, I kept thinking how amazing CAT was. I use it after “perfecting” the expert chart, but I first only reduce to hard. Then I go through tweaking it where it needs to be tweaked. Then I reduce to medium only, followed by hand tweaking then reduce to easy, hand tweak. Using CAT takes so many hours off the process and doing one difficulty at a time gives you tighter control of the lower reductions. I stopped using the CAT Visualizer icon some time ago because, in reality, CAT is just giving you an algorithmic “best guess” – there’s usually a good bit of adjusting to do, especially on more complex or off-beat rhythms. CAT is an incredible time-saving tool that does a better job remembering the rules and copy/paste/removing than I ever could and it really makes doing reductions for “the masses” worthwhile. Plus it’s cool to watch in action – my wife thinks there’s either voodoo or witchcraft involved and I can’t disagree.

And sorry Faro. I meant no disrespect to CAT.
