      [CON] (20140226)

      [CON (Alt. Vocals)] (20140226)

      To do

      • Custom venue
      • Crowd singalong (contributions are appreciated)
      • Improving lip-sync (maybe)
      • Other from feedback

      [REAPER Project] (20140226)

      Feedback wanted

      • Keys and Pro Keys – Constant moving up and down the scale got me to, rather than lane shift, wrap notes instead. Need to make sure I’m using features properly during the break, like that glissando on Pro Keys. Also, some of the notes between the two instruments may not exactly match with each other.
      • Guitar – Copy-pasta throughout. There’s a lot of guitars playing at the same time, even when hearing through just one channel. A little indecisive on how I could make the chorus chords look as diverse as it sounds.
      • Bass – It’s a swap between a synth and an authentic instrument which you can tell once you switch on and off sustains.
      • Vocals – This singer is extremely heavy on vibrato and scoops, so I don’t know if I overdid the slides or what-not.
      • Drums and Pro Drums – Cymbal placements may seem improper since the toms were in the way during those times. It’s a bad excuse/habit, but it’s the first thing that came to mind when picking out lanes for these notes. :v:

[*]Doing more methods of lip-sync (maybe)

If you got multitracks it should be as simple as just rendering the vocal stem in a dryvox compatible format, possibly playing with automatons to reduce reverb and such if needed

Hell yeah! This song is long overdue for rock band!

Hot Damn! This forum is on fire! This will be a blast to sing. Thanks!

I gave it a run-through on Pro Keys and Harmonies. The charting looks pretty good for the most part, except that there shouldn’t be any chords in the chorus that span more than an octave. That C#-E stretch is almost impossible to hit. Also, the guitar volume sounds about right but the other tracks should be turned up some. The keys especially should be much louder, so that the intro and the solo “pop” a little more.

As for the harmonies, there are few parts where you can hear a voice singing “Ho-o-o-ome” over the block harmonies. I would chart that instead of the double-tracked vocal, but I admit that could be subjective. Also, the backing vocal for the “lights, lights, li-l-l-l-lights” part would probably be more interesting with the “stutters” charted.

Nice work all around, though, it’s really polished for a WIP.

For Song Rating: This looks like a pretty family-friendly song according to the lyrics.

      CAN’T WAIT TO PLAY IT! <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

Any time frame or ETA for adding in the overdrive? That is the only thing that is holding me back from getting this song!

        Thank you for your feedback.

The charting looks pretty good for the most part, except that there shouldn’t be any chords in the chorus that span more than an octave. That C#-E stretch is almost impossible to hit. Oops, I forgot about that rule. I’ll delete the higher E in those chords on Expert and Hard.

Also, the guitar volume sounds about right but the other tracks should be turned up some. The keys especially should be much louder, so that the intro and the solo “pop” a little more. Will do.

As for the harmonies, there are few parts where you can hear a voice singing “Ho-o-o-ome” over the block harmonies. I would chart that instead of the double-tracked vocal, but I admit that could be subjective. I’ll make a B-side CON with these suggestions. I’m indecisive of this.

Also, the backing vocal for the “lights, lights, li-l-l-l-lights” part would probably be more interesting with the “stutters” charted. Although I can do this and put it on the B-side CON, I should let you know I plan to re-work the stems for the main CON: the actual sung part will be in the vocals track so the echo effect will come clean on the backing.

For Song Rating: This looks like a pretty family-friendly song according to the lyrics. Got it.

Any time frame or ETA for adding in the overdrive? That is the only thing that is holding me back from getting this song! I’ve done the overdrive phrases for all the parts now. They’ll be in the next build and I’ll ask for feedback on that.

Updated with new CONs and RPP.

          Changes:

          • Authored more pitch changes in Solo and Lead Vocals (Am I going overboard with this?)
          • Notes adjusted in Harmony Vocals
          • Overdrive phrases authored on remaining parts
          • Eliminated stretched chords on Pro Keys
          • Authored missing chords on Expert Guitar
          • Stems reproduced, keys and bass are a bit louder now
          • Alt. Vocals CON posted, harmonies are sung from effects
