I guess the word f**ly is offensive. I’m not big on being arbitrarily censored.
February 7, 2014 at 5:55 pm #413672There is an option for drummers to turn drum fills off and on in the options modifiers. Me personally, I feel the same way where I prefer to see the whole chart so I turn them off.
February 7, 2014 at 6:02 pm #413675Yeah you need drum OD fills charted in your song, or else you can’t ever activate OD and the song will be impossible to gold star, and as Sideshow mentioned it is possible to turn them off in-game while still being able to activate OD when it’s charted.
Also it’s your chart so fair enough, but doing stuff like changing everything to mono, charting it left handed as the default and only having Bass camera cuts is perhaps not something you want to do when sharing a chart online, especially not GH converts
February 7, 2014 at 6:41 pm #413679I was really excited when I saw you posted this. But, then when I saw all the personal choices that you made, I figured it probably wouldn’t be very playable for me. Certainly it’s your right, but any chance you could make a second “community-geared” version?
February 7, 2014 at 8:47 pm #413685I would suggest making an alternate version with your personal changes removed, for the sake of people here having an easier time with it. I can understand having your own personal version of the song so that you can enjoy these things, but most people here actually like having drum fills, and I’m sure someone will come around who didn’t read the OP or replies and wonder why the drum chart is lefty-flipped, and why they can’t use any of the overdrives they built up (BTW, drum fills are required so that you can activate overdrive when they are turned off, too. They set up where the activation points are). Also a side note, I don’t want to stare at my dinky-looking bassist the whole song, who I tried to make comically nerdy for shits and giggles, so maybe adding some more camera cuts would be helpful ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

I would recommend changing your bass player to something more attractive. I’m not too big to concede though, I have the camera set to the bass player for the first half of the song (1 minute 4 seconds), and the guitar player for the other half. I also added a 15 second drum fill at the very end of the song. I could fix the lefty mode, but then I would have to select lefty mode when I play the song which defeats the purpose. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
February 7, 2014 at 9:23 pm #413690This whole thing goes to the same issue that always comes up. I’ve expressed my thoughts on this and it doesn’t seem to be the popular opinion, until someone does something like this.
This is my handy guide for whether you should release a custom:
#1 Are you doing it for yourself and yourself only? Then keep it to yourself.
#2 Are you doing it to share with others? Then you need to think about others and not just yourself. Otherwise, refer to #1.
#3 Are you willing to take constructive criticism on what you’re going to share online with others? If so, listen and apply constructive criticism. If not, reconsider #2 and #1.
Then again, you can do as you please. No “rules” in this Wild West world of “Other Customs” ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
February 7, 2014 at 9:26 pm #413692Being a drummer I think the main thing that would bother me is the lefty flip aspect. I would assume there are more right handed drummers out there than left? Its not really a big deal to just go into the game options and turn on left flip if your left handed. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
February 7, 2014 at 10:06 pm #413696Can you lefty-flip songs mid playlist? Otherwise that would keep this song out of playlists for me.
February 7, 2014 at 10:27 pm #413698After all the negative feedback; I have decided to remove all the personal changes I made. I guess it does suck when people alter a perfectly good song to suit his/her own personal tastes.
Let me know of any issues.
February 7, 2014 at 10:42 pm #413701One could even say why bother uploading it with all those changes.
Really too bad, if I also happened to be a left handed, no fill drumming, mono speaker set up player I would’ve been all over this My bass player is hot though.

I really and sincerely appreciate that. I’m super-excited for this song. Thanks for going to the effort and being open to feedback!!
February 9, 2014 at 3:37 am #413758Yeah, it’s always great with people are open to people’s input and opinions other than their own!
February 9, 2014 at 7:03 am #413763oh I almost forgot, I charted the drums left-handed so I don’t have to choose lefty mode when I play it, so you have to select lefty mode to play right-handed.What?

PROTIP: It was a joke on people that put out customs based on their strange personal tastes and expecting everyone else to lap up their stuff rather than work to appeal to a larger audience than just themselves.
