February 3, 2014 at 4:46 am #413350I would love the Savage Garden songs….as well as some from your planned list like: “Space Lord”, “Blister in The Sun” and Bowling For Soup songs.Agreed. The Savage Garden tracks are definitely coming out (“Crash and Burn” because it’s a request, and “I Want You” because it’s my favorite by them).
As far as the others, “Blister” would be easiest”, could probably do that one soonest. Definitely need some BFS, and “Space Lord” wouldn’t be too tough. I don’t remember there being any crazy solos or anything. And I love singing it. Part of why I got into customs was being tired of seeing interesting tracks with no vocals charted.

Savage Garden – Definitely happening, might put up a drums/vocals version first. Keys are tricky.
“Believe” – Slightly higher up in line, due to being a request.
“Deadly Sinners” – Always wished it had came out on RBN, one of my favorites by them.
“Giving In” – My favorite song by them (admittedly, not a bit fan of them otherwise)
“Baby’s On Fire” – Definitely happening.
“Use Somebody” – Surprised nobody on here has done it yet.
“Teenage Dirtbag” – RBN BULLSHIT. I still can’t believe this song fell through, pretty sure it was licensing or something else that made them drop it.
February 3, 2014 at 7:26 am #413358Looking forward to Die Antwoord “Baby is on fire”. The music video for that song is awesome.

February 3, 2014 at 8:31 pm #413376I thought there were rules against lists like this?
February 3, 2014 at 9:37 pm #413382Looking forward to Die Antwoord “Baby is on fire”. The music video for that song is awesome.Finished X drums this morning, going to work on vocals next. And I do have (I’m assuming) correct lyrics in partial Afrikaans.

I’m having some trouble getting the right BPM for Type O, and haven’t even attempted it for SYL yet, but I’d love to chart that or more Devin.
I thought there were rules against lists like this?If there are, my apologies, but why? I wanted to see what kind of interest there was in certain songs, especially considering how strange and eclectic my tastes can be. Plus I didn’t want any overlap if someone was already putting serious work into one of them.
I’m just curious what the exact rule against it is.
February 3, 2014 at 9:40 pm #413383I believe it’s to prevent people from stopping other people from doing the songs. Also just to prevent people from getting a bunch of attention by listing popular stuff. If someone comes on and lists 20 songs they wanna do, more than often they get frustrated and give up, or just don’t have the time for it, leaving everyone hanging.

If someone comes on and lists 20 songs they wanna do, more than often they get frustrated and give up, or just don’t have the time for it, leaving everyone hanging.Yeah, that would be my thought as to why lists of “planned” songs are not allowed. Someone could just come and post, “I plan on doing a pack of Pink Floyd and Genesis greatest hits!!” Then give up a couple days later and never post again, not telling anyone they have given up…..leaving a wake of upset and confused people behind.

Oh, no, if someone wanted to do a song and were actually putting work toward it, I’d want to list whoever it was so people would know to keep an eye on their releases. And if that fell through, I’d be fine picking up afterward and trying to finish it.
I don’t care about “being the first” or staking claims to anything, I just want to put out songs for people (and myself) to enjoy.
But yeah, if there’s a specific rule against it, I’ll get rid of the list, and find some other way to see who’s interested in what.
February 4, 2014 at 12:06 am #413395No such rule really. If you list something C3 wants to work on or is ready to release you’ll be hit with a nice PM anyway. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> Just don’t expect people to always respect your dibs. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>
February 4, 2014 at 12:25 am #413396So for “Baby is on fire” are you going to chart Ninja’s part as harmonies or include both Ninja and Yo Landi in the solo vocals?
