OMG I played these at Guitar Center today and I wanted them SO BAD…

But no MIDI yet! Useless for RB3!
Still, there is hope…
regarding MIDI triggering: no, it will definitely not be in stores this June. We’re probably looking at NAMM 2014 announcement and Q2 2014 shipment. I can’t go into any detail about the exact form the product(s) will takeI’d drop $700 in a heartbeat if I could use them for RB3. I can build whatever MIDI translation is needed.

Each. Used. $700 is a lot, but it ain’t out of the question!

Just saying it’s a bit rich for my tastes: I like cheap instruments! My brother has a $5000+ guitar, but my favorite axe cost me only $119 in a remainder sale. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
I just commented to a friend the other day that my (acoustic) kit is mostly built from used pieces that just happened my way, sort of a “I didn’t know I wanted that particular sound, but it works for me” thing.
Mind, if any Zildjian reps are reading: feel free to send me a set of GEN16’s to try to change my mind! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

It has to be said that MIDI sets are different, in the sense that it’s not necessarily about sound but about use. Even for a non-drummer with an ekit like me, quality cymbals and bass pedal are important.
May 21, 2013 at 3:18 pm #399919Oh, I get that, particularly because crosstalk and double-triggering can ruin your day. (or at least your combo!)
My current RB input, since the office space doesn’t have room for a bigger kit: http://www.amazon.com/Alesis-Control-MI … B000OUUG78 So I still “jam econo” in the electronic department. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
It has the opposite problem, though: if you hit one pad really hard and one really soft, both within a very precise time window, it will assume that the softer hit was crosstalk and filter it out. A bit too hyper-vigilant! Can’t get lazy with your dynamics, then: gotta try to hit them at reasonably the same velocity range.
And just for fun, here’s some monkey improv solo!

Wait just a minute… it’s clear that the stuffed monkey is not really playing, the foot doesn’t even touch the pedal! I am disappoint.
