Hello, everyone. I working for a public utility company, and we’re currently considering updating old networks in a few areas of the city. Often, we find that the diagrams don’t match reality, and unexpected damage appears during repairs. Has anyone used modern survey methods before reconstruction? Do they really help cut down on accidents?

Hello, I work with underground infrastructure. Are you planning a complete reconstruction or phased work? We had a similar experience when preparing a network modernization program. First, we created a detailed scan and digital map of the communications network because, without reliable data, any repairs would be a gamble. During the project, we realized that water network optimization was impossible without precise knowledge of the pipes’ location and condition. After the survey, we reduced the number of emergency calls and were able to better plan the city’s budget. It’s an investment that pays for itself quickly.
