I will have a look into it.

Sorry I did not mean any offence.

I tried charting back in the GH3 days and was utterly dreadful at it.

Has much changed? I am willing to give it another go if you can point me to a good tutorial.

    Thanks

97 Views but no takers :-(

I guess I have unique taste.

    Thanks for looking anyway.

    SUCCESS!!

THANK YOU for being so patient and helping me through this.

Exciting times ahead, I’d better get downloading some customs.

If I get time I might write a PAL aide mémoire to save you future pain.

    Thanks again

    OK.

Just on a whim I copies the bins to the sZFP (PAL?) Folder.

    I am another step closer.

I can see the song in the list but get the Lemon Tree cannot be restored to the Wii System Memory.

in reply to: [How-To] Playing Customs on Wii #463047

I used the PAL packer installed sZFE Wad. Got the error -1022 so it installed.

    But..my custom still doesn’t work. :-(

I’ve tried downloading dlc and it works fine…

What’s the difference between sZFE vs sZGE? (I haven’t found that wad yet)

in reply to: [How-To] Playing Customs on Wii #463044

Sorry..switch gen and keeping separate is drawing a blank for me. Can you explain in detail what you mean. Please don’t kill me for being a noob! ;-)

in reply to: [How-To] Playing Customs on Wii #463035

Thanks for coming back to me.

If it try sZFE and it doesn’t work, do I need to uninstall sZFE before installing sZGE.

Depending on which WAD I use do I have to change the meta song file?

    Cheers

    Hi all,

I followed this guide properly but I am not getting the songs loaded so i’ll tell you exactly what I did.

    1. Downloaded and Extracted RB2-Wii-DLC-Packer2.1-PAL

    2. Downloaded and installed HxD Hex reader

    3. Located the keys.bin file from my NAND dump (which I did about 3 years ago when softmodding)

    4. Opened Keys.bin with HxD and copied the number 07x2xx3d (8 digits)

    5. Opened ng_id.txt – Deleted the 00000000 and copied 07x2xx3d (8 digits) – Save close.

    6. Searched this topic to find a common-key, ebe42a225e8593e448d9c5457381aaf7 and copied to common-key file using HxD

    7. Downloaded a song from this site – Fool’s Garden Lemon Tree

    8. Extracted files moved them to Packer folder.

    9. Renamed them 052_00000034_lemontree_meta – 053_00000035_lemontree_song

    10. Deleted example folders.

    11. Edited the file 052_00000034_lemontree_metacontentsongssongs.dta content – “dlc/sZFE/052/content/songs/lemontree/lemontree”

    12. I ran the RB3WiiPackTool then ran the packdlc.bat file

    13. Copied 052.bin and 053.bin

    14 . Opened J:privatewiiDATA – Created sZFE

    15 Pasted the bin files

    16. Took SD to Wii – loaded RB3 via Loader.

    17. No Lemontree

Please could someone help me? I am at a loss at why this doesn’t work.

    Thanks

    Zoot

If your console is PAL, go PAL all the way. That should prevent any weird issues that shouldn’t be happening.

If you don’t have any DLC downloaded, there should be a keys file from the system NAND dump you should have done by now.

To pack multiple songs in one, that’s also covered in the first post, but you’d update the path for the first song’s DTA and the rest will match that one.

I believe the Wii supports up to SDHC cards, so that’s about 32 GB, I think.

    Hi,

I’ve found my NAND dump and the Keys.bin file.

What do I do with it?

I’ve tried dragging to the C3 CON Tools (Wii Converter) but get the error message:

“That is not a valid BIN file: incorrect header”

    Cheers

Thanks. Quick question are your example files 52 53 set up to be converted?

So if I just update the common and ng. I could test the custom by just running the batch file?

Effectively putting your example on rb3?

in reply to: [How-To] Playing Customs on Wii #462680

    Hello,

I’ve given up on trying to get uneek to work and I’m heading down the SD card method and I have a couple of questions.

    1. I will be using a game loader (wiiflow etc) – My wii is PAL 4.2E – To do this process do I need to use the PAL Packer and the PAL RockBand 3 ISO?

1a. I assume this guide is written for a non PAL wii – Is there anything a need to adapt in this guide?

    2. To get the ng_id.txt file – By DLC do you mean other songs downloaded on RB3? If I haven’t got any official DLC is it still possible to get this file from somewhere?

2a. Where do I get the DLC from SD or Wii. What will the file be named?

    3. Using the C3 Con tool to pack more songs into the 052.bin and 053.bin files – do you I need to change the file names and songs.dta file for each song first or does the tool do this?

    4. Is there a limit to the size of SD card I can use?

Really looking forward to getting some new songs on RB3.

    Thanks for helping

    Zoot

    Hi guys,
Well I seem to be tripping at hurdle one, to get the most out of this custom lark I want to get uneek running on my wii, but the scene seems very quiet and i’m struggling to piece everything together.
Please could someone give advice and maybe answer my questions below?
    1. I have a 240gb external hard drive. If I want to use this for uneek, do I format the whole drive as FAT32, or do I need to partition it with the 2nd partition used for games etc.
    2. What are the advantages of using the step by step (Advanced guide) linked in the first post on the customs for wii thread opposed to the installer I’ve seen on the sneek page?
2a. Is there a tutorial for using the installer.
    3. I’m on 4.2e does my virtual nand need to be the same?
    Many thanks
    Zoot
