Got the customs working again. Turns out I added an extra character in the songs.dta file and it wasn’t reading anything after that song.

I’ve deleted almost 50 songs and the new ones haven’t loaded yet. I’m not sure how many more I need to delete if it is filezilla.

 

Also, the PAL method intrigued me, but the first two file links seem to be dead. Did they merge with other programs or are there new links I can try?

Yeah, a different FTP program just gave me the same results. I’ll try deleting some songs tomorrow. Thanks and I’ll keep you all posted.

The last custom I got working was the 3 Tetris theme medly from the gameboy. I didn’t like the cover so I changed it when I added a couple more songs, about 5 more. The old customs are still there and the ones that I labeled with numbers still save their scores, but the new ones don’t show up. The tetris cover is different, but none of the songs I’ve added after that one show up.

 

After about 700 songs the file that I put in and rename to songs.dta takes a little bit more time to transfer over and if I try to rename it right away, it’ll jump to whatever letter I type, just because. Also, if I forget I’ve named a song something, like Jungle Love, the game will read the first one but not the second. If the songs.dta file says a song is there, but I’ve deleted it, there will be a blank song and if I try to load it it will get stuck in a loading loop that only a reset can stop. I know it’s not those problems because it’s behaving differently.

Hey, I’m having trouble putting more customs on my PS3. I’ve updated everything and I think it’s maybe me overloading filezilla. File 756 has 1157 entries and I’m wondering if I just have too many files in it.

 

Is there a limit to FZ?

 

I haven’t hit the 3000 song limit. I have 2340 total and I’ve been using customs for well over 2 years with little to no problems. I don’t want to delete songs if I can’t reinstall them.

I say go for it. Keyboard dropping in and out between songs made it so I never even plug the thing in anyway. I always just pick keytar if it’s harder than guitar. I’m on PS3 and the upgrades are a little more complicated so I wouldn’t do it for all the songs, but I think it sounds like a fun idea.

I saw him on the 12th in Fargo/Moorehead. Awesome show! We had so much fun, but I wish I had a better camera or a video camera. At the end of “Wanna b ur lovr” when he’s pointing at one specific girl and singing everything he’s got at her, the lady actually got up and tried to kiss him! Hey, I just tried Wings of the Storm by Whitesnake today (both xbox converted and the ps3 link) and it has an audio loop error at the end. Is anyone still fixing songs?

Has anyone had a problem since Def Leppard Hysteria was added to my song list, the Muse Hysteria now always points to the Def Leppard Hysteria in the library it previews it and selecting it it plays Def Leppard Hysteria.

 

Short answer: No

 

Long answer: The PS3 version of Muse-Hysteria is in a completely separate folder from the one we can put the customs in. Because they’re in completely separate folders, the system shouldn’t get confused. You should probably just buy the official dlc instead of just pirating the xbox version and putting it through the tools converter.

Thanks for getting “o my soul” and “the mirror” to work!  Just tried the ps3 links for “heard it through the grapevine” and “turn off the light” again and they still freeze in those same spots.  Repairs would be appreciated.

Just downloaded 29 of this weeks songs ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Converted them with tools 3.9.0 and only 2 have the “Unable to load skipping” error.

Also, I play with headphones and Halleluja has only a left audio track.  The right earphone plays the regular sound effects, but also random pops and hisses.
