January 5, 2020 at 5:23 am in reply to: [Wii] Content is corrupted and cannot be loaded from SD #508994
Quick update/further info
I ruled out the possibility of the dlc slots themselves being corrupted. I figured as much, but now I have to wonder if it’s possible that the WiiPackTool itself may have stopped working somehow.
That may in fact be the case, as I just re-packed a single slot and it immediately got marked as corrupted by the game despite having worked earlier. Further investigation is ongoing.
I’ve been working on that entire album on and off for the past few years. I’m done with just about all of them (guitar, bass, drums) but my computer died a few weeks ago and haven’t been able to get it fixed. I have some of the charts uploaded on an old WIP thread, but they’re all VERY outdated, missing instruments, and probably not good charts.
As soon as I get my computer fixed I can get back to work, if I remember correctly the last one I have to do is Spinning in the Daffodils and then difficulty reductions. I’m not planning on doing Interlude with Ludes because that song sounds like it wouldn’t be fun to chart or play, but my mind can change.
October 13, 2017 at 7:07 pm in reply to: Packing Like a Pro – Atruejedi’s Guide for a Legit Wii Library #491453That preview audio tip is going to change my life. Granted I already have hundreds of customs to rework, but this gives me an excuse to reorganize a bit.
Also, I just want to add that I’ve been using odd numbered meta folders (starting at 003) and even numbered song folders (from 004) and it works just fine.
(When I redo all this I’ll start from 002 tho so I’m not wasting that slot)
I’ve been setting up to load from SD for the past few days and have gotten as far as installing sZGE and clearing the MSTORE.vff and successfully getting the game to scan all the songs on my SD. Even though it shows the correct number of songs when scanning, when I go into the song menu none of the customs will show up at all. Then when I check my SD card again, all but one or two of the .bin files have been deleted.
Any ideas as to where I went wrong? I don’t think file size is an issue because only three or four files are over the 40MB cap, and the RB3WiiPackTool doesn’t find any errors. If it’s relevant, I have official DLC on the same SD card.
EDIT : At Alternity’s suggestion, I managed to get my customs loaded by getting rid of the oversized files and replacing the title.tik file in the packing folder. Thanks!
I’ve actually got some Gorillaz charts in the works, including El Manana, Empire Ants, and Every Planet we Reach is Dead. I just haven’t put them up yet since they’re all drums-only at the moment and I want to do more.
I would be more than happy to work on America and Perpetual Change if no one else is doing so already.

Today’s update is kind of big. The only new song today is The World God Only Knows, but there are also updates to older songs. But first-
- The World God Only Knows – The complete, eight minute version of the opening song to the show of the same name. I promised pro keys, but I have reached an impasse on certain parts. I may try to chart vocals since they’re such a big part of the song and seem to generally follow the same pitches as keys. Guitar is also a possibility, but I can’t hear any bass to try and chart from. The drum chart is still a lot of fun on its own and has some interesting beats.
The entire Pink Lemonade album now features overdrive and changes that range from chart and tempo map fixes to complete recreations of the song entirely. Most notably, Neoprene Byzantine now has Tacky Ornamental Slut, the end of Pink Lemonade, tacked on to the beginning and I used the album version of the song with the complete intro. Most of these songs have guitar and/or bass charts in the works.
Finally, Warsaw is back up with a fixed drum chart, overdrive, and bass. Guitar is hopefully on its way too.

Today I bring to you all two
almostfull band charts of two of my favorite songs from The Presidents of the United States of America: Love Everybody and Crown Victoria. Both of these songs have guitar, bass, and drums, as well as overdrive- Love Everybody – Possibly the highest I’ve ever set a song’s BPM.
- Crown Victoria – Not a difficult song on any instrument, but it’s a wonderful song that I recommend regardless.
I know I usually don’t announce my projects, but I’m working on something a little different. I recently fell in love with The World God Only Knows, and I’ve been charting the opening song for season 1. The full 8 minutes. The drum chart is done, but lacking overdrive so I’m thinking of releasing it in my next update. I found music sheets for the full song, and so I’m also trying my hand at charting pro keys. It’s been hard as crap so far, and unrealistically time consuming, but I’ve got I think two of the six parts done relatively accurately. I won’t give an estimate on what that will be done, but I’m more than willing to work with anyone who actually knows what they’re doing with pro keys.

Trust me, I don’t plan on stopping this anytime soon. I want to see these get done as much as anyone else ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />

For my first update of the year, I bring an update to both No One Loves Me and Elephants. As of today, both of these now have overdrive and are full band (without vocals, of course). They’re both expert only on all instruments, though, so watch out.
Additionally, shortly after the last update I had to take down Warsaw because I made the mistake of using single yellow tom markers for long stretches of song, which were set back to single length when I quantized the notes. I’d have that back up but I really want to finish charting at least bass first.
Caligulove is charted but I honestly keep forgetting about it because I don’t care for it much. Haven’t started Interlude with Ludes for the same reason.
December 17, 2016 at 6:43 am in reply to: TheWizard’s Spellbook of Customs [WIP Edition] [Update 3/02/2017] #478917It’s been absolute ages
six months and two days to be exactbut I’m back and with more customs. This time, I bring expert-only drums-mostly-only charts of six songs by Them Crooked Vultures, who I’ve gotten super into recently. These are all in their early stages and have practice sections but no overdrive yet. I haven’t even playtested these yet due to lack of time.- No One Loves Me & Neither Do I – I decided to go ahead and chart guitar and bass, also expert only for now. The outro might warrant making a 2x bass pedal variant of the song. I love it when the hardest part is in the last 10 seconds of a song.
NOT - Elephants – Starts off big, and it’s got a nice beat in the verses.
- Bandoliers – Super good song. Starts off pretty simple, but watch out for the bridge.
- Reptiles – Nothing too difficult or really noteworthy other than moderately fast bursts of kicks. Super odd sounding kazootar but I love it anyway.
- Warsaw Or The First Breath You Take After You Give Up – My favorite of the bunch. It’s got a gradual speedup in there, and after that it’s a relentless beat that would probably kick my butt. Definitely my pick of the bunch. –TAKEN DOWN FOR MAJOR FIX–
- Gunman – Nothing too hard in the way of drums.
I’ll most likely get to the remaining songs on the album sometime soon.

It’s been a while, but I’m back to put up updated files for the first four songs off Pink Lemonade. I decided against waiting until the entire album is done because I wanted to try to chart guitar/bass for a few songs.
Additionally, I’m a Ghost of Twilight now has E/M/H/X bass charts. Finally, I found a nice bass cover of Reindeer Age, which let me chart bass for an
almostfull band experience. I overlaid the cover onto the song, so bass should be much more audible in-game. I’ll try to use that method to chart instruments that are too hard to make out on their own, at the slight risk of chart accuracy.I think I’m just about done with First Temple, other than a couple songs that have neither guitar nor bass.
My next update will likely be the rest of Pink Lemonade, meaning it may be quite a long time before you hear from me again. It’s also possible I’ll update First Temple soon.

May 25, 2016 at 4:23 am in reply to: TheWizard’s Spellbook of Customs [WIP Edition] [Update 3/02/2017] #469296Thanks! I’m not planning on stopping anytime soon, especially not when there’s still an entire other album of theirs to chart.
Have you got any sort of advice or general feedback on how I’ve been charting these? I’m still pretty new to this whole authoring thing so I haven’t figured everything out yet.

It turns out I’m quite productive when trying to put off studying for my finals. Who’d have thought.
Back for a quick update, but it’s pretty big. Deluge and Had to Put it in the Soil now both have both guitar and bass charts, all difficulties, and A Night at the Spleen now has a guitar chart. I’d test all these out myself but my wii stopped loading customs and phase shift runs really slowly on this fool computer.
Screw it, I’ll use phase shift. It’s just a shame unisons don’t happen. The bass on Deluge is kind of weird at parts because there are parts in the song with a second guitar but no bass so I charted the lower pitched guitar to bass and to be honest I like it like that.
I tried charting Night at the Spleen on bass, but I couldn’t make out the bass in the choruses to save my life. But who cares, since you get that sweet
questionably chartedguitar solo, and that cool second verse.Had to Put it in the Soil turned out to have more complicated guitar than I thought, and the bass looks pretty fun too.
Once I chart at least one of guitar or bass to every song on the album I’ll probably put them in the ‘releases’ section of the forum.
That’s all for this time, I’ll put off working on these to actually do schoolwork so who knows when the next update will be.
