November 29, 2016 at 6:28 pm in reply to: Nov 17, 2015 – Ed Sheeran, “Shut Up and Dance”, “Riptide”, Saint Raymond #478247
Quick anectdote: I spent a couple of hours over the weekend cleaning up the custom of “Riptide” (I posted it to the DB on Saturday…hence taken down, of course). The official video of the song actually has a scene in it where they superimpose the lyrics on the screen; the joke in the video is that while the actual lyrics of that part of the song are “You’re gonna sing the words wrong”, the video shows the (intentionally wrong) lyrics of “She done sank the world’s wolf”.
Sure enough…the original author of the custom included the “She done sank the world’s wolf” nonsensical lyrics into the song; I didn’t even notice until I playtested it before publication.
So that’s what those lyrics are about. I know sometimes song lyrics can sound like something different but I was wondering why that was way off. My girlfriend brought it up one night we were playing the custom, she was like, wait what’s this about wolves? Ha!

The Verve changed because of Verve Records, not a band… but Suede doesn’t have a title track on Dog Man Star (though I guess both bands are spacey. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> )
Or something completely different.

And it’s full band and reductions?! Wow. Thanks so much. I hope to check out the album soon and I’ll add your song to my library as soon as I get a chance to sit down and load up songs. Got a back log of customs waiting to be added.
Hey if you get around to doing those blink songs then great, but taking care of family is important. Looking forward to easy target if it still happens. Most important thing is to get through the tough times.
Right on, nice pack. Thanks! I haven’t heard “Ohio is for lovers” in forever. It’s all coming back to me.
I’ll have to check all three of your tracks out. I don’t really know that particular decemberists song but since I started listening to them recently and enjoy their style, I’m sure it will be good. Thanks Zanny!

Thanks for the disney songs.
Wow, thanks for locked out of heaven. That’s such a fun song to sing, been hoping someone would chart that gem. And thanks for more Blink, been wanting more from “Enema”, but I figured I wouldn’t whine since we have “take off your pants. . .” full album.
Okay… I’m starting to get it. I finally got songs to load.
but some are still not showing up.
in aZFE I am starting with 052 and going all the way up to 323. Is that too many? is there a limit on aZFE? If so.. where do I go? aZGE? AE?
and if so.. do I start them with 052 or do they need different numbers from aZFE?
I am using only the songs on the customs database (and the beatles rockband)
Off the top of my head, ZFE ends around 255. Are you packing near your pack limit (40mb)? You should, that way you use up slots at a slower rate.
As for your question Stock123, a license error usually happens if you made a mistake in the song DTA. I’d go back to a point where you didn’t have that error. That is, only use packs that were previously working, reset the cache to remove the license error. If that works, re pack the more recent packs from scratch.
Also if you are running it off the hardrive, just make sure its running off the nand and not the emunand. Emunand requires you use .app and not .bin files.
Also if you just started loading customs you should stick with the ZFE folder until you run out of slots, which won’t be for quite some time.
Alternity is right, make sure the pack’s songs DTA file isn’t showing ZFE on one song then ZGE in another. You can’t pack in the same slots for different content generations, well you can cuz the packer won’t care, but the game will make the songs inaccessible.
I only got the “can not load content “message in the main menu once and that was because I messed up the song DTA, I inserted a character by accidently hitting a key on the keyboard and it messed the whole thing up.
I would save yourself the trouble of trying to find any editing mistake in the DTA and re-download the songs to get a clean songs dta and other files. Think this is the best way since you are just starting out, or else it will be like finding a needle in a haystack.
That’s too cool. I’m going to give your a music a listen too right now. . .
I like it. The music is catchy, and I dig the vocalist. Soothing, spacey music. Bookmarking your page to listen to the whole EP
Good stuff, and congrats.
Still trying with no progress at all…
If anyone managed to load customs on emunand through Usb Loader Gx, please let me know.
Hi there. I managed to do just that, and its pretty glorious. I’ll give you the simplified instructions:
1. I dumped my nand with usbloader GX’s emunand dump feature and renamed the “nand” folder created to “RockBand” just to distinguish it from my regular emunand that I use for virtual console. If you already have a working emunand you don’t have to re-dump but I prefer to keep them separate.
2. Load the game with partial or full emulation, I use partial. Remember to change the emunand path to “Rockband” or whatever you named your emunand folder.
3. Once the game is loaded, go to “get more songs.” Once in the store download one of the free Rock band 2 songs like “Sons and Daughters” by The 88.
4. Go to the link c3 user “Alternity” provided and download the wszst emunand packer. Use this packer to pack into the sZAE generation folder title:00010005735a4145content.
5.Done!
I’m assuming you know how to pack properly, instructions are the same as ZFE just use ZAE instead. You will have to overwrite a previous (song) .app pack. Example 00000053 and 00000054(underoath, desperate times, desperate measures).
That’s it. No need for sneek/uneek/neek2o. Just you, UsbloaderGX, and Rockband.
Questions? P.M. me.
