Been a long time since I tried this, and I’ve ran into an issue.

Wadpacker just doesn’t seem to be running in packdlc.bat, and I can’t figure out why. Everything seems to be fine in the songs.dta and the packdlc.bat file itself but it just won’t pack a .bin file. I can’t think of how to fix it.

EDIT: Nevermind, my hexadecimal is just a bit rusty.

Are you using a Wii or the vWii on the WiiU?

I have no experience with PAL so…

Are you trying to use Rockband DLC or customs?

Customs, but it’s OK as I got it working. I installed IOS 249 with USB support to IOS 248 and used a USB loader with Rock Band 3. It’s working so far.

    Hello,

I’ve been trying for the past couple of days to get custom songs working on my PAL Wii. I’ve followed the instructions in the OP, changed the folders to the PAL ones, tried installing wads (I only found out today that the error that was coming up is normal, ret -1022) and still I get an error saying “Add-on content cannot be restored to the Wii System Memory”. I was first trying multiple songs but even after trying one song, it isn’t working. Rock Band 3 recognises the extra song (an extra song is being loaded when it starts) but after it tries loading it, the error displays and the song isn’t in the song list. Can anyone help me?

Define what you mean by “tried installing wads”. Make a list of the WADs you have installed on your Wii.

The error you stated “Add-on content cannot be restored to the Wii System Memory” usually has to do with the missing Hermes 223 cIOS.

I just installed Hermes 222, 223 and 224 and it still has that error. The WADs I was installing were the sXXX wads for the PAL region.

EDIT: And now that I’ve had a go on cIOS 222, 223, 224 and 249 with a USB Loader, 222 and 223 are telling me the add-on content is out of date and 224/249 won’t allow USB microphones/keyboard to be used.
