I can’t. I’m currently in nand:/title/00010000/535a4245 and there are two files: content and data. Neither are folders.
Please use content generation sZGE, since it does not contain paid DLC in it. I include the WAD for sZGE, which you’ll need to install for customs to work. Also make sure common-key and ng_id values are correct.
I switched to the sZGE pack and installed the wad, but now the song doesn’t even show up in the list. I’m pretty sure my common-key is fine, but I could be wrong.
Did you change the path in the dta file corresponding to the meta slot you’re using?
Yes. It says “dlc/sZFE/054/content/songs/listen/listen”, and my meta folder is 54.
Are you loading up the game with USB Loader GX or something similar?
I’m using cfg. My disk drive is broken so I can’t use physical games.
I’m getting the “content cannot be restored” error and I don’t know how to fix it. As far as I’m aware my meta folder is correct and my song folder is there. What should I do to fix this?
EDIT: I’m on a real Wii and I’m using SD card storage.
Thanks! I definitely wasn’t doing that lol
Hey, thanks for the advice!

Not a bad start. The biggest issue that sticks out is the sustained chords with notes played during them. Those are illegal in Rock Band and won’t work.
Secondly, the sustains need to be pulled back slightly (a 32nd or 16th is sufficient).
Third, I understand there’s more than one guitar in the song but it’s really hard to tell which one the player is supposed to play and from my perspective I’m hearing a lot of strumming that isn’t being charted.
Again, good start. Keep working!
I’ll make sure to change the mid-chord notes, I’ve played more Guitar Hero than I have Rock Band, and I remember seeing some GH song with mid-chord notes, so I guess I just assumed they’d work here.
From what I can hear a lot of the stuff the lead guitar plays in the chorus and pre-chorus are mostly strumming the same note, mirroring the chords, or playing too quiet to be picked up over the vocals/rhythm guitar. I tried to strike a balance between clear chords and the audible flourishes, but I guess I’ll keep working at that.
Congrats on your first chart! I would recommend you check out the threads about installing and using CAT, because it can automate tasks like trimming those sustain tails to an appropriate length. It can shave off a lot of time so you don’t have to pull the notes back by hand.
I haven’t messed with CAT yet, but it’s for sure on my list of things to learn. I’m working on getting the vocal part down right now.
Welcome and good on you for taking on this world. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> Now…
Step 1: read the docs at http://pksage.com/rbndocs/index.php/Guitar_and_Bass_Authoring
Step 2: do step 1 and then everything will be clearer. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
Thanks! I was mostly following the twitch video tutorial, I’ll be sure to read up.
