+1

Jailhouse Rock and Hound Dog would be amazing

Ok cool, I get it now. Thanks for the informative responses

    Nope.

May I ask why? I’m just genuinely curious, since Beatles was allowed.

For those who are curious, I have tested the method that I listed above and it does in fact work in fixing the problem with Party Buffalo.

Personally, I uploaded 18 songs to the new flashdrive and moved them one by one to the old flashdrive in the Xbox 360 settings menu. After loading Rock Band 3 to make sure the songs moved over without any issue, I took out my old flash drive and added 2 more songs to it through Party Buffalo to make sure it worked, and the 2 songs loaded into Rock Band 3 without any issues.

I haven’t seen this method mentioned in other threads regarding this issue, so I’m just posting this to confirm that it does in fact work :excited:

EDIT: I should probably mention that prior to doing this, copy a song from your normal flashdrive to your new one. This way, when adding songs to the new flash drive through Party Buffalo, you can inject the songs into the “saved game” folder like always.

I’ll give a step by step here:

1.) Plug your regular flashdrive and new flashdrive into your Xbox 360

2.) Format the new flashdrive to your Xbox 360

3.) Copy a song from your regular flash to your new one

4.) Add like 3 to whatever songs to your new flash through Party Buffalo like normal, enough that it will surpass the 256 limit on your regular flash

5.) Once again, plug your normal and regular flash drives into your Xbox 360

6.) Move the new songs to your regular flash through the Xbox 360 Settings>Memory menu

7.) Take out the new flash and load Rock Band 3

If you have two flash drives, it’s pretty easy. This way you don’t have to erase and back everything up.

Hey wait, I just thought of a loophole! Rather than erasing your hard drive, backing up everything on the computer, and downloading the C3 tools, I think I have found another way.

If you have two flash drives, do you think the following would work?…

1.) Grab a separate flash drive from the one you normally use and format the new one to your Xbox 360

2.) Using this flash drive, upload a number of new custom songs to it with party buffalo

3.) Plug both the old and new flash drives into your Xbox 360

4.) Through the setting menu on the 360, move all of the content from the new flash drive to the old one

Do you think this alternative method would work? I’m going to try it later when I get the chance. Since you’re not adding new content though party buffalo I feel it would work, although I am definitely no expert on computers.

Hey everyone, thanks for the helpful responses! I’m really sorry for not responding back to this thread earlier, as I’ve been dealing with things for college/other tasks this past week.

The one thing that I’m confused about is this:

Format your flash drive on your 360 (I don’t know if it’s necessary to do it on your 360 since it’s just formatting your flash drive to FAT32)

How exactly do I format my flash drive on my 360? I’m pretty illiterate when it comes to technology, so I honestly have no idea what this means, or how to do it. I’m sure I can figure the other two steps out on my own though. I thought this was done automatically the first time I stuck my flash drive into the 360, although I could be thinking of something else.

Once again, thanks for the responses, I really appreciate them.

Aw crap, I just realized my request was sent 8 minutes after this :/. Was it too late? I’ll understand if it was, that’s alot of songs requested after all.

    1. If you want to do it well, I would say about a week or two of reading up on the authoring docs, getting familiar with Reaper and Magma, etc. I would say to start with reading the authoring docs and working from there: http://pksage.com/rbndocs/index.php?title=Main_Page

    2. 48 hours at first, about 24 hours now

    3. You can submit your song to The Show Floor and might be considered to be picked up by a author. If they do, it will end up in the database when fixed up and scheduled. Be sure the chart is in as good as a shape it can be before submitting

    4. Basically just nothing that will get us in trouble (songs already available as DLC, things supporting Nazism/racism/etc. explicitly and genuinely, album art featuring real gore or underage nudity, etc.) probably I would say. Should also be “real music” in terms of being something that is made to be music and not just made in FL Studio or whatever to be hard to play but not intended as listening material, that is probably better left for Other Customs

Awesome, that is much less stressful than I anticipated. I was expecting that learning the program would take like 3-4 months, and that songs would take like 4-5 weeks.

I just have some quick questions about 3.) and 4.) though.

1.) What happens if the song is not picked by an author? Say, I put alot of work into a custom song and the song is near complete, but none of the authors are interested in picking up the song for whatever reason. Can the song ever be re-submitted after a certain period of time, or is the song rejected for good? (It’s fine if my songs don’t get picked up, I just want to create songs although it would be cool to share them with others).

2.) You mention “Nazism and Racism”. The first song I want to do as a learning experience, as it is short and easy, is “Nazi Punks Fuck Off” by the Dead Kennedys. The song is anti-racist and anti-nazi, but mentions Nazism and has a crossed out swastika on the single cover. Would this song be considered to be pick up, or would it not be picked up because of it’s references?

3.) Lastly, how explicit are album covers allowed to be? Would the “Songs About Fucking” album cover be allowed? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Songs_About_Fucking). If so, what about the “No Love Deep Web” album cover (NSFW)(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_Love_Deep_Web). These are some pretty acclaimed bands with a pretty good sized following. If I have to use a censored album cover, than whatever, it’s truly not that big of a deal.

in reply to: The Misfits #440197

Very surprised that there are no Misfits songs in the song database, they are one of the most notorious punk rock bands of all time. There are so many of their songs that would be really fun to jam out with friends.

I would like any of their songs, but I would really like to play these three songs in particular:

    Attitude- Misfits

    Hybrid Moments- Misfits

    Last Caress- Misfits

I really hope The Misfits make it here eventually.

+1 this as well. I would love to be able to play Holland 1945, or any song at all by them for that matter
