      I deleted those songs that failed to add, but it wont add songs now. in game it says “viewing 172 of 173 songs” so im guessing theres one song not showing up and i tried looking for it but its like looking for a needle in a haystack. anyway heres the last few lines of the

        That’s the W1 limiter plugin listed on the thread I linked to. You only need it when you go to render you audio. You put the .dll in your reaper install director (Program FilesReaperPluginsFX).

        I see, I will have a look for that right now

         

        edit – is the beta version okay to use or should I stick with the old version of W1 limiter plugin?

          Anyhow, at least I’m off to a start and have begun the first few bars of the guitar part as I find it easier than authoring drums, I’m still learning how to use REAPER, for example how to copy and paste a segment of notes rather than doing it all manually. Also I don’t think I have placed the notes precisely as they should be yet it seems in sync with the audio track. That and I’m not sure which notes should NOT be HOPO yet it seems to be doing it automatically. It’s very finicky.

           

          could someone have a look at my work and see if I’m doing it right? And give me some constructive feedback?

              Your audio file should be in the “SONG AUDIO” track. I don’t know what you mean by ‘track’ channel or ‘harmony’ channel so I’m not sure how to help you.

              I assumed the media file should be in the “TRKS” track, . there is no “SONG AUDIO” track in the version of reaper I’m using I guess because I’m not using the RBN3 template :/

                ah ha, now i have the correct version of reaper, the template for RBN2 loads and the preview is visible. I will try to get RBN3 up and running and see how far I can get with this…

                 

                edit – I cant seem to find the “%APPDATA%REAPERProjectTemplates folder (e.g., c:meAppDataRoamingREAPERProjectTemplates)” directory to place the customtools RBN3 Template, only the “C:Program Files (x86)REAPERRBN Mix Template” folder but yet there is not RBN3 template available in reaper.

                  I was using that page to acquire all necessary tools. I’m not sure if I have the correct files I only have RBN2 and as I understand I need RBN3? and I don’t even know if I have unzipped them in the correct directory. never the less, reaper is not loading the template still with a couple of error messages when I try to load RBN2, I figure I don’t have them in the right place.

                  Is it the “customtools.zip” that contains the template?

                   

                  edit- i think i’m using the 64bit version of reaper i’m gong to try 32 bit version and see if that works

                    Thanks for the replies guys, so I’ve started using reaper and got the metronome in time with the track, however the track is in the “harmony” section of the mix. also I have the rbn2 template but It can not load, I’m trying to find the rb3 plugin as we speak but cant seem to find it

                     

                    edit – I have downloaded the customtools.zip but cannot find the directory %APPDATA%REAPERProjectTemplates folder

                     

                    edit- edit ok, so I figured the customtools.zip should be extracted to “RBN mix template” folder so I will try that. this is messy

                     

                    I managed to fix the track in the “track” channel instead of “harmony”

                     

                    how do i upload images on here to show the error i’m getting? It’s saying I cant upload images from image hosting sites

                     

                    As you can see I’m having a lot of problems with this.

                      I got it working finally. I was placing the dta file in the wrong folder like you said. I feel like an idiot and am really grateful to those who helped. I couldn’t have done it without you!

                       

                      I was putting it in the game folder instead of GAMES folder.

                            Nice find! I changed it, the bad news is the songs still aren’t showing <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” /> but I will know to look out for that error for next time. and sorry for the double post, I couldn’t see a delete option

                                  thanks but unfortunately that hasn’t solved the problem. I think the structure of the dta file hasn’t been compiled correctly during the merging process. I’ll have to make a clean slate and try again.
