  • She Loves You & This Boy currently have incorrect ledger lines. I brought this up to the people who can change it. My originals have the correct ledger lines, something was either ignored or discarded when porting to TBRB engine.

Hi, Great custom from mr. o-Harrison.

    I’m really nedding some help.

Anyone experiencing issues with “A Day in the Life” in rock band 3 wii??

It’s the only song I played the animations are absent and the band members keep “rounding the scenario out of the camera , and the camera is still.

    I’m grateful for any help.

On Xbox 360 this happens if your game doesn’t have Title Update 4. I don’t know if there’s a way to fix it on Wii because Wii has no updates.

first to all: all instruments (except the drums that is my point of this message) are well charted and very fun to play. amazing sound mixing and editing. great work orangeharrison :excited:

yesterday i was able to play drums in SFF and i enjoy more the single pedal version, the reason is that i have actually disagree with the double bass version chart. simply because is wrong charted, this song doesnt have double bass pedal, that is a floor tom (charted as bass drum), you can clearly hear the diference between the bass drum and floor tom here in this video of the drum solo isolated with the floor tom overdubed:

also is believed that paul mccartney (or maybe the own ringo) played floor tom in other track, and both parts were mixed in the studio release. ( i guess maybe that is the reason of the floor tom overdubing in the video) and thats why i said i enjoy more the single bass pedal version because seems to split the floor tom away. The only song that ringo used double bass pedal was “Good Morning, Good Morning” (which double bass notes were omited by harmonix in TBR:cool:.

an interesting thing: in that video intro (first 5 seconds) you can hear ringo doing a rehersal of the solo but is playing a small tom instead of the floor tom used in the track, this a technique used later mostly heared in King Crimson’s Discipline Album by drumer Bill Bruford (you can compare the intro with “Elephant Talk” for example”). Ringo is an amazing drummer!

“Strawberry Fields” was recorded during the Sgt. Pepper sessions too, but was just omitted from the album to be released as its companion single (and later included in the American “Magical Mystery Tour” album, which was not an official UK album, but later accepted into canon because its tracklist didn’t overlap with any prior UK albums). In GMGM, the double bass is part of the main take, but on Strawberry Fields it was dubbed in, which is why you (correctly) identified it as separate from the main take. The tone of the drums are vastly different between takes, either because the mics were moved to record two drums, or the bass drums were much more pillow-muffled to prevent clipping when dubbed in. John’s yelling and Ringo’s drum solo were recorded in the same take onto a single track on the master tape, both according to the isolated track on Anthology 2 “as it is completely mono, ie. single-track) and my own stem extraction software, and if Paul were present playing Ringo’s floor tom at the same time as Ringo’s solo, it’s weird that John addressed Ringo only at the very end of the song.

I made the creative decision that releasing the chart on the grounds of how fun it is to play is completely fair, especially since it can’t be 100% confirmed in either direction. Technically speaking, the single-bass chart for the song uses the bass pedal from the main kit dub, so there’s no wrongness there, and if you adamantly believe that there’s no double bass in Strawberry Fields, you can always just not play the 2x version, and you won’t be missing anything, since the single version uses the confirmed single bass dub.

Despite all this speculation, even if Paul WAS present at Ringo’s side/rear riding the floor tom, charting it as such would be even more wrong than my version, because it violates the “Drummers can only have two arms” rule.

Either way, I’m glad you downloaded the song and enjoyed my mixing, as well as the other instruments. No beef. <3

It’s funny that the drums chart was what would catch the most criticism; since Strawberry Fields has some famous misheard lyrics (which became an even worse problem when the incorrect lyrics were the ones printed on the sleeve for the Blue Album).

I was told December 23rd— erm, I mean… ~23 December~ is still open. I guess now’s a better time than any to finally toss this chain off my shoulders:

I added it to the scheduler (with a 2x bass version too)

in reply to: Karaoke Revolution Stems + MIDIs (Non-covers) #431525

This is fantastic! Years ago I bought Karaoke Revolution for Xbox when I saw on the box that it had master tracks for old Motown songs, but gave up when I didn’t know how to rip the files directly (and had no Xbox to play them on to rip analog.)

I’m going to listen to each of these and try to split the instruments for full multitracks if someone wanted to make a custom.

Sorry, I was at work when I was notified about the tonality thing. Now I’m here to explain in a little bit more detail.

The tonality field exists for Pro Mode Trainers only. When a song enters a Pro trainer, the game grabs the key of the song from the vocal_tonic_note value, and if the song is in a minor key, tonality is set to 1 so the trainer correctly displays that the key of the song is in X minor.

However there is a serious bug when tonality is set to 1, it swaps out the normal tonal vocal ledger lines for a broken set. There are references to several incomplete vocal scroll styles that were scrapped, and this appears to be one of them. Because customs cannot enter training mode, using tonality 1 literally has only negative effects. I pleaded with Nemo back in the day to not include it in Magma after I had sent him my research, but he insisted that it be included because it has been documented. Having it as an option is really confusing, I know.

…Hardware Store (why is it rated FF? It has a line about “automatic circumsizers”!).

It’s a term for the device that chops an end off cigars so you can light them. Some look like little guillotines to be funny.

Ah, glad that got fixed. I noticed it while playing this morning.

However, in my version of “Dare to be Stupid” the drummer is inanimate.
