OMG dude, you are blowing my mind with all these KISS customs! Back when RB & GH were all the rage and they started putting out “band-centric” titles like Beatles, Green Day, Metallica, VH, etc., I always thought that it was a no-brainer that one of these companies would make a KISS game. I mean all the ingredients were there, huge song catalog full of fun arena rock “party” tunes, massive loyal fanbase with over 100 million albums sold worldwide, larger than life “comic book hero” band members and over the top stage show seemingly perfect for being animated in a video game (‘Larger than Life’…another cool KISS song). Add that to Gene & Paul’s propensity to never miss a licensing opportunity and I’m actually a little shocked that it never happened (Shock Me!)….until now that is, thanks to you and your co-authors. I already expressed in a previous post how elated I was to see “She” get the customs treatment, but that was just the beginning apparently. Since then you’ve been putting out a steady stream of ‘KISS Klassics’ straight from my wish list and even a few I never thought I’d see in RB in a million years (I mean “Torpedo Girl” and “Almost Human”…are you kidding me?! I LOVE IT!!!). Add that to the 20 or so other KISS customs released by yourself and a few other authors over the years (and even some great KISS covers) and I now have over 30 KISS tracks to play in RB!! I just want to once again say that I can’t express enough how thankful I am to you and all the other customs creators for the work you’ve done releasing these songs and helping to essentially make my dreams for a KISS RB game finally come true. Now I just need to go get some face paint & pyro and send out the invites for my full on KISS RB party!

P.S. – I also love many of the other non KISS tracks you’ve done. Way too many to mention but most recently ‘Diadems’ by Megadeth was another delightful surprise. Yet again, thank you so much and at the risk of sounding greedy…keep ’em coming!

‘Sound of White Noise’ was one of my favorite albums from any band from that era and I still listen to it often. I don’t think there’s a single song I don’t like on that record. Thank you so much Freewaymad for authoring ‘Only’, I can’t wait to give it a go.

I don’t post much these days but this release blew my mind. I swear that I was listening to Faster Pussycat this very morning and my wife asked me who I was listening to. I said verbatim “Faster Pussycat, I forgot how much I liked these guys. I wish I had some of their stuff to play in RB”. Then I went to the database to see if there was any that I may have missed and I see this. This is very bizarre indeed and must have a deeper meaning but since I have no idea what that could be, I’ll just take it as a cue to pour a few down and belt a few out…CHEERS!

Thanks for the detailed instructions FujiSkunk, I will definitely give this a try later.

^^^ Oh well, I still can’t figure it out so I had to delete the Def Leppard song and rebuild the cache again. Everything is back to normal now. It sucks because I like the Def Leppard song but it came down to a choice between the Judas Priest track and this one. Turns out the JP song “chomped & devoured” Def Lep, so I guess it’s true, love really does bite (ouch!).

I am having a problem with the Def Leppard song “Love Bites” in that once I install it, it makes the Judas Priest song of the same name (C3 release) disappear from the game (Top of song list reads “Viewing 1952 of 1953 Songs”). I’m not real good at reading or editing the con files but from what I can tell the song ID’s are different. So I went ahead and deleted my cache and then things got even weirder. After rebuilding the cache, the game now sorts the Judas Priest song under the Def Leppard heading and the Def Lep song doesn’t appear anywhere (still reads “Viewing 1952 of 1953 Songs” at the top). Sorry if there’s an obvious solution to this, but I for one am left bewildered and confused. I have no idea how to fix this so both songs will show up in the game. If anyone with a clearer knowledge of these things could offer some guidance it would be greatly appreciated.

In which case I would not advise working on it.

    Nice!

Nunchuck update the vocals for the song down on the farm of GnR and add Since i’been loving you from the spagetti incident that songs are awesome! Keep rockin lml

I’m pretty sure the GnR song you mean is their cover of “Since I Don’t Have You”, the song you mentioned is a Zeppelin song (which is sort of a suped-up cover too). I’d be thrilled with either of them though, or any more songs from either of those bands for that matter. Then again, this thread is chock full of thrills and excitement every week. The KISS songs from Rockfight 1 were particularly epic for me personally (along with so many more). No words can ever thank these guys enough for what they do. If karma truly exists, Nunchuck, Sy, Colonel and every one of these authors certainly should have boat loads of “good vibes” coming back their way.

I completely missed “Talk to Me” until now, fantastic! I always especially enjoyed the KISS songs with Ace Frehley on vocals. His songs are always lots of fun. Many people knock Ace’s “unique” vocal style but since he and I both hail from The Bronx, he just sounds like an old friend from back home to me. Belated thanks to Domino for sharing this “deep cut” by KISS. Can’t wait to get my Ace on!

Nirvana unplugged!!! Every single week this thread is like a gushing fountain of joy, or perhaps even a “Funhouse” of some sort (yeah, that’s certainly a much better way of putting it). I haven’t posted in a while but I still lurk in the shadows enjoying all that goes on. As always, your generous gifts will once again bring much happiness to the people, for that we thank you.

Just wanted to chime in and give my thanks to furiouss for all these great songs. So many of them are right in my wheelhouse which feels like winning the lottery in a way. I was playing the tracks you did from the new Megadeth album “Dystopia” (I love this album) with a couple of friends yesterday and it really made RB3 still feel edgy and current after all these years. Great fun was had with all of your customs. I always wanted to play more Tesla in RB, and now I can…Thank You!

Thank you for yet another fantastic week of great songs. I can’t believe that you guys did “Wake Up (The Sleeping Giant)”. I swear that every time that song comes on while shuffling my music, I always say to my wife “I wish this song was in RB”. I love Twisted Sister, and that’s one of my favorite songs ever by them. I just love the message and energy of it, I always feel super pumped up after hearing it, I can’t wait to see what it’s like rocking out on the plastic instruments to it. I’ve said it before but it bears repeating…Nunchuck & Sygenysis are granters of wishes!

Cool TNT song, I still listen to that whole album once in a while, it’s one of my favorites from that era. The Gary Moore song was one of those “oh, that song” moments for me. I always look forward to checking this thread for lots of nice treasures. Thanks Freewaymad, for sharing all your great work with us.

Wow, I just clicked over from the murky depths of the official RB4 forums to see what was going on at the Funhouse this week and let me assure you, it’s soo much nicer over here. Last week’s Shocktober finale was amazing and so much fun to play. I can’t wait to try out this week’s selection of “oldies”. I was just YouTubing (that’s a thing right?) each of them to refresh my memory and I do remember most of them fondly. On an unexpected side note, each song reminded me of a different girl I dated back then. I was a “busy guy” in those years which is kind of cool to remember. Although I probably won’t mention that part to my wife when I ask her to sit in on drums this weekend

I’ve got to say, what you guys do, along with ALL the other incredible authors here at C3 have done for this game, is just stunning. I like to think of all of you customs creators as magical “RB Genies” because you really do grant wishes to all of us RB players that otherwise would mostly be impossible. I have no idea how you guys accomplish what you do week after week just killing it, but I thank god (and Aladdin) that you do. Without going into detail, RB4 has been a very disappointing experience for me thus far. This has made me appreciate more than ever what the entire C3 community continues to do to keep this 5+ year old game staying incredibly fresh and more fun than ever to play (much unlike the 5 week old headache I’ve been dealing with). Once again, all of these words come down to the same thing…that I really can be a rambing douchebag at times…wait, no! What I meant to say was simply thank you, Not just for the wish granting, but also for clearing up my headache for a little while.

Dash, you have made this KISS fan very happy, thank you. I haven’t touched my RB3 keys in quite some time, but I’ll be blowing the dust off those babies to play Beth. I’ve always enjoyed how much hatred this pop ballad gets from some rock music fans (even Gene Simmons says he can’t stand the song). Considering that I’ve been a KISS fan my whole life, I’ve been hearing people tell me how much “they suck” for decades now, as the band continues to thrive over 40 years later. In a way this song in particular sort of represents that whole sentiment and I LOVE IT! I’m also a Yankees baseball fan so I can go on & on about all the haters of both these incredibly successful brand names, but I can’t do that right now, I think I hear them calling…oh Dash what can I do?
