I’m actually really curious to see the end result. Please share pictures when you’re finished.
And if you’re planning to make a guide, I would love to see that too!
Ah! Got it working!
I cleaned the rust off with a cotton swab with white vinegar (for future reference, don’t use a cotton swab as the cotton can get caught inside. I had to use tweezers to pull it out), then took another spring from an old TV remote and just crammed it in there, put in some batteries, and it works, or at least turns on.
Thank goodness I have the battery cover, otherwise I’d probably have to tape the batteries down since the spring and everything is loose.
Haven’t used it in action yet. Will update after playing a few songs~
Update: Works like a champ! Just have to be extra careful when putting in new batteries now, haha.
Follow the instructions in CAT’s thread and go over the list of things to check before posting a bug: if you go over those you will find the issue.
Okay, I found the issue.
The audio file I’m using is in a subfolder which has a special character in the name. Removing the special character fixed it.
Thank you for the reply~
I’m sorry I didn’t check the CAT page earlier.
What do you mean by tabs? Like Reaper project tabs?
Regardless, I rebooted my computer, went straight into Reaper, loaded my project up, and CAT still doesn’t work.
Improbable errors usually hide an improper use of the template. Are you sure you haven’t touched anything or added anything that shouldn’t be there?
I was pretty sure I didn’t do anything different to the template, but I seem to have found the issue.
I exported a separate MIDI for each individual instrument and tested to see if it would come out okay, but they all still gave the same error. This told me it had to be something with either the BEAT, VENUE, or EVENTS tracks. Figuring the venue was the most finicky of the three, I removed all the text events and notes (ctrl+a to select everything, even if it was something I couldn’t see) and sure enough, it compiled okay.
Don’t know what exactly I put down that caused that error but all is well now~
Ah! Thank you very much! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
We don’t link them because it’s just a progress report. Plus, linking to a sheet with songs that are available as official DLC on RB probably wouldn’t go over well on this site. I do have a thread with the songs, but it’s on fretsonfire.net.
Ah. That does make sense. Still really appreciative that someone is working on it, though.
There is a version in this thread, it’s not in the database
Nunchuck & I were new to this & experimenting with GH conversions, We both would tell you some of these are absolutely horrible, but playable.
Ahh! My dude! This is amazing!
I’m not picky about the Rock Band 3 animations or anything, but this will certainly bring back some nostalgia!
Of course, I’d still like to see these get the full band treatment, but this will do for now. Thank you very much!
Totally gonna do it once I get to it on my project, here‘s a spreadsheet if you’re interested.
Whoa! Didn’t know there was a project going on to restore all the songs from the other games. That’s pretty rad! I eagerly await for these songs.
Just a suggestion, but shouldn’t your spreadsheet also link to the songs you guys put together?
