• God damn, thanks a ton for Milk Lizard!

    Definitely +1 for this.

It’s not on your list, but felt this may be up your alley. I just uploaded a new custom, “Complex Terms” by The Human Abstract. It’s a bit like a more djenty/metalcory Between the Buried and Me, with a lot more emphasis on the guitar lines. It’s full band and has plenty of devil tiers, at least

Chips helped with drums and guitar, so make sure to thank them.

Sounds like something I could enjoy, will definitely check it out! Thanks for letting me know!

    Absolutely.

If you like btbam, I’ve charted all of Colors along with some other singles with G/B/D/K and they’re in the DB (posted by beard216).

I’ll take a stab at the three you’ve requested. Not sure if I can do full band, but G/D is a guarantee.

EDIT: God my phone sucks at typing (or maybe it’s me ), I just had to fix a bunch of typos, lol.

Well in that case I feel like I owe you more than just a simple thanks, considering I’ve been playing the shit out of Colors ever since I figured out how to play customs.

But as much as i’m thankful for your response, I’ve actually also found full album customs for The great misdirect, The parallax II: Future sequence and Coma ecliptic, charted for either G/B/D or drums only, Including Astral body and Lay your ghosts to rest (G/B/D charted in both cases). So unless you’d want to do those two just for the fun of creating customs or contributing to the database (they’re not available in the database nor hidden deep in some old forum), it would be a waste, sadly. On the other hand, if you’re interested in getting any of those songs/albums, send me a PM and i’ll tell you where it’s available. Regardless of all that, The Primer would still be more than awesome to see authored by you!

As for wether it’s full band or not, G/D is more than enough for me at least. It’s basically all I ever play.

I can confirm I’m working on Clarity. It’s been a while since I last worked on it (months-old WIP), but I think I got close to done last time I checked. Not guaranteeing it really soon, but keep your eyes open for it in the future

You’ve got me like a little kid the day before christmas lol. Knowing the quality of your authoring, it should amount to one of the most entertaining customs out there!

I actually tried to do Milk Lizard before doing Mouth of Ghosts, but I couldn’t quite figure out where the downbeats were for each measure, thus I didn’t even get past tempo mapping it. I’ve always wanted to see Milk Lizard and Setting Fire to Sleeping Giants done, especially since the latter was in GH6, but Mouth of Ghosts appeals to my drumming needs in a huge way.

You might’ve found it already, but Divinations is also in AJFOne’s thread along with the rest of that album.

Yeah well, nothing to feel bad about. TDEP has to be one of the overall hardest bands out there to chart for, especially on the drums. Rymer is nothing short of a monster. Probably why there are so few songs (EDIT: customs, not songs lol), from them out there, so kudos to you for even having a crack at it.

Wow, im an idiot. I’ve actually been to his thread and downloaded most Blood Mountain songs, but I somehow overlooked Crack the Skye.. Thanks for letting me know, probably never would have found them otherwise considering that I’ve already been to his thread lol.

+1 For Mudvayne – Not falling, Papa Roach – She loves me not

Nemo’s threads where you can download C3ConTools and MagmaC3 include links to download the necessary .NET frameworks, just check the OP. It’s an official Microsoft server that is linked, and it’s a free download. You should also see about installing Visual C++ for C3Con Tools, which is also linked in the OP of the thread for that.

Thanks a million, hope this works!

in reply to: Will C3 make a comeback? #464279

I really hope they do, would be great to see them back in action!

in reply to: Call of Duty: Black Ops (Zombie Soundtrack) #464252

1+ for 115, would be sick

in reply to: A plead for heavy/technical customs! #464248

One thing you can do if you’re just starting out is searching for incomplete customs and adding instruments on your own. There are a few songs from The Dillinger Escape Plan with drums only (not sure if it’s on the forums though, it’s from TheLieInKing EDIT: Yes it is).

And since tempo mapping and pro drums are already done, the hardest stuff is already taken care of.

    Thanks for the tip!

Totally for the BtBaM, Mastodon, and Protest the Hero songs. I’d consider charting some myself but that’s way above my current skill level.

Don’t know if you all ready knew this, but I did some (a lot) of searching around after this post. And a guy called SHGrinnz has actually charted every BtBaM album since Colors. Some albums are only drums, some are with guitar and bass. So if you’re interested I could send the link to his twitch account. The files are semi-private so you have to send him a message on twitch or whatever and ask him to share his google docs with you in order to get the .Cons

EDIT: He’s also got Mastodon – Divinations for drums, along with a bunch of other stuff

in reply to: A plead for heavy/technical customs! #464246

Crystal Skull can be found in AJFone’s thread as a drum-only custom, along with a lot of other Mastodon tunes. +1 for more DEP though. I’m working on Mouth of Ghosts right now.

I’ve actually found it already but thanks, can’t wait for Mouth of Ghosts! Can’t believe someone hasn’t charted Milk Lizard yet, that would be a killer song to play as well

in reply to: Creating customs using a mac? #464242

I can’t speak for Winebottler on Mac, but I author using Wine on Linux, and Reaper works perfectly well. I can also get Magma to run after installing some .NET frameworks, though it sometimes crashes when building multitrack customs. The only way I can get C3ConTools to work is through the visualizer via Magma after compiling.

Well I have no idea what .NET frameworks are, but do you perhaps know where I could get my hands on them?

in reply to: Creating customs using a mac? #464180

No idea. If you have access to a Windows license, even something old (when C3 started I was compiling on a Windows Vista machine), installing a virtual machine is pretty simple.

Okay, i’ll definitely look into it more. Thank you for your time!
