Does the Onyx Music Game Toolkit‘s “Make clipped dryvox from MIDI and audio” (which generates a dryvox file that mutes any audio that doesn’t align with the vocal parts of the MIDI) functionality do anything to help alleviate this problem? I had some pretty good luck with it on “Because It’s Midnite” but that’s a short song and I didn’t try it with any other dryvox sources to compare.

Tried PMing AllFlesh back in October, but never got a response.

I didn’t know Crush 40 was announced for RBN… now I”m even sadder that RBN ended ;_;If it was going to happen, it would’ve happened years ago. The band were announced as part of a list of artists supporting RBN, before RBN even officially launched. Back in 2010, it was revealed by Ozone that they were unable to acquire distribution rights from SEGA’s record label Wavemaster, so the plans sadly fell through.
But hey, at least two of the three songs that they planned are now out there as customs (Live & Learn in the C3 database and Open Your Heart in my thread.) Shame that
was never finished…
November 4, 2014 at 4:47 am in reply to: StackOverflow’s Customs – Paper Mario Origami King Pack #432122Sweet, thanks for these! One question: is the main theme the full ROCK-MEN album version, or the abridged version from the game?
Weird Al’s birthday is today, October 23rd, so the first hint could be alluding to some more Al goodness.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night has an amazing soundtrack. The opening track, especially, is outstanding.Personally, I think it would be hilariously awesome if we ever got the ultra cheesy and out-of-place credits song “I Am The Wind” in Rock Band, but I’m probably alone in that.
July 29, 2014 at 8:47 pm in reply to: [Archived] Rock Band: Harmonies Project (Latest: 11/21/14) #425865Yeah, I have no idea. Might have to crack open REAPER and play them back also.
thanks guys. like i said kinda new to the c3 world so i dunno all the dl sites for customs but man i am excited >.<oh and i have to add powerman 5000 to my list too! particularly
how to be a human
supervillian
when worlds collide
and drop the bombsell
“Super Villain” is already in the game via RBN, and a “When World’s Collide” custom is on the old customs spreadsheet. “Bombshell” is on there as well, but it’s missing vocals and difficulty reductions.
I cracked open the CON myself to take a look and see if it was a simple audio alignment issue, but I couldn’t get the audio to line up with the entire chart (it would keep going out of sync as the song went on), so it seems more like a bad tempo map. I really hope Velvien has a chance to look into it, because the chart itself is a lot of fun.
What an awesome release. Thanks, guys!
July 23, 2014 at 4:52 am in reply to: Sideshow’s Customs (7/14/18) Ozzy Osbourne “Shot in the Dark”! #425291Another Theme of Laura custom, eh? I think there are at least 3 different ones floating around now, haha.
Two internet packs and still no “Friday”I guess nobody can stomach that song long enough to chart it. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
There’s actually a full band custom of Friday in the C3 repository that I was messing around with awhile back. I was trying to add reductions a few months ago, but it turns out the vocals didn’t have any lyrics and the chart was really unpolished overall (not to mention I ran out of time to work on charting,) so I gave up on it. If anyone’s interested, I’d be happy to provide the files with what I managed to work on.
To steer this back on topic: a pretty interesting week! A little sad that we’ve got another Internet Pack without proper C3-ified conversions of Trogdor and Because It’s Midnite, but I’ll keep hopin’ one day. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
July 17, 2014 at 8:58 am in reply to: KyleJCrb’s customs (7/09) “Crystal Flash” – 22-minute Super Metroid prog metal medley! #424793I’ve played Crystal Flash (great chart, must have been a lot of work!) a few times with no problems (well, except that the Rhythm/Keys chart starts playing Bass for a while in that part with lots of bass fills, but that’s a different kind of problem!)Yeah, that’s one of the issues from inimitable’s charting. This was originally an RB2-era custom, so bass was charted as a rhythm part with some of the more obvious audible bass parts thrown in. I had planned to try and fix it up, but real life reared ugly mug, and I haven’t had the chance to touch anything for a few months now. Hopefully I can get back to it, but if anyone out there wants to take a look for themselves, I’d be more than happy to share the REAPER files with you.
The RB2 and RB3 drums are functionally identical as far as I’m aware, so you can attach cymbals to either of them.
From what I understand, Guitar Hero drums can actually be used for Pro Mode using the green cymbal option, but it’s a bit of a kludge solution. The yellow cymbal serves as both the yellow pad and cymbal, while the orange cymbal is mapped as a green cymbal in the game. Just don’t activate the yellow cymbal in the drum settings, otherwise you’ll be looking around for a nonexistent yellow pad to hit, and then you will become sad.
This handy video explains how the mapping works:
