Activision made a deal with Metallica for band exclusivity for the GH games, hence why Metallica songs in RB games didn’t export and the DLC license ran out quicker than a lot of other packs. It’s not the first or last time a company did it (ATVI also had Aerosmith, Van Halen, The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Soundgarden whilst Harmonix had Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, The Who, Green Day and presumably others) but the dick move on ATVI’s part comes from how they renewed the license to last until 2024, preventing Metallica from ever coming to any rhythm music game (or possibly any video game at all) until that year.
Wait a second, 2024? ATVI’s sucks! Why did they make such a long contract like that one? GH is dead since 2011 (Live isn’t a GH game for me), the DLC’s has all got pulled out from stores and even so Activision holds Metallica
