Dammit, I should have known someone would have done such a thread. Unfortunately I already joined a “random” other crew on Xbox One…

 

Well, if some people here happen to look for a Xbox One crew, please think about a crew called “Rockrew”. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> We’re currently only 5 members but have 900+ vocalists/guitarists/bassists. We would be more than happy to involve a good drummer then. Our drummer could not GS the 3 spotlight songs this week so we still have some margin of progression here.

I did every endless setlist available in RB games, ‘cos there were achievements to unlock for that.

 

I remember the band endless setlist in RB1 because I did it alone on expert guitar + expert vocals lol. I only had trouble to sing Gimme Shelter that I failed three times or so. I also remember the one in RB2 because I had to do it twice: first time in expert guitar but I paused the game several times and lost at Chop Suey and thus did not unlock the Bladder of Steel Award cheevo. So I redid it in medium vocals, which was a piece of cake.

 

I have no memory about the RB3’s and LRB’s ones though, must have been easy lol.

 

But yes the RB2 one in particular was epic ‘cos all the impossible songs come after 6 hours of play.

 

So far I 1000Ged every Rock Band I own (which means every Rock Band available in Europe, which means I lack 4 track packs compared to US people) except LRB and its Final Coutdown solo, and RB3 where I’m still working on the last 3 pro-guitar achievements to go to 1250G.

I was kinda excited for “Ghost Love Score”, but the chart definitely needs quite a bit of work.

 

I’m gonna say an unpopular opinion but I really don’t care for the singer’s voice in most Nightwish songs, so I tend to go for the instrumentals. Unfortunately the instrumental of “Ghost Love Score” is missing a lot of the actual rock portions like guitar. It still sounds pretty but not quite as epic.

 

Maybe someone will chart the studio version and that would be neat. +1 for that.

 

I played the guitar chart the other day but was not really focused on it as I was with friends. I just know that I hate GYO chords lol. But the real problem in this version to me in that the choir singing “my fall will be for you, my love will be in you etc” during the chorus can’t be heard at all. Actually as of one of the more recent updates one of the Rock Band 4 trophies/achievements is unattainable due to the removal of overdrive that carries over during shows mode, though I cannot remember which one. I think Harmonix is fixing that soon.

 

It’s called “Locked In”. They wanna fix it during the next update, due to be available in March.

You can also record yourself (through Audacity or whatever) singing Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Iron Maiden in Hard or Expert. Then let your PC sing the song for you and focus on Expert Bass. I could score around 1,050,000 this way and I guess it’s easier to set up.

 

And yeah the cheevos/trophies in RB4 are really easy compared to previous RBs.

Have they also confirmed that Xbox 360 -> PS4 compatibility (DLCs and peripherals) is not going to happen or is it still something like “work in progress but don’t count on it”?

Will RB4 include harmonies or “single vocals” only as GH? I’m considering to buy a Xbox One when RB4 comes out, because of old peripherals & DLCs compatibility.

To me that sucks.

 

Don’t really care about the 1st person and on-stage thing but why not. What I’m sure I’ll dislike is the “real-life” videos, as Singstar did with music videos. But again, ok why not.

 

But getting rid of every instrument except guitar is a nonsense to me. And what is the point of this new button placement, seriously? It’s like “we wanted something serious but casual”… So no more hand deplacements but we’ll be playing “2-level chords” instead with our left hand. Ok, but then why is there only one mediator meaning there’s only one string?

 

To me that sucks.

 

And ofc, they ask us to buy new plastic things and every song back from scratch.

Maybe the first GH I won’t buy, really really disappointed. Well, hope the future proves I’m wrong.
