  • Great stuff. Will try that out, specially the dta part.

It’s really annoying that many moggs from those gh conversions are bigger then 40mb and we can’t use them on wii with sd card.

Sadly your tool can’t support encrypted moggs.

That’s why i wrote my own quick and dirty script to batch convert Phase shift gh songs from that other forum to bink.

I can confirm that customs on dolphin are still possible.

However you must change the file size for both meta and Song in the TMD file.

The max file size for the meta app is around 600kb. That means you can just have 2-3 Songs in a dlc slot. Maybe more if you delete the preview mogg files.

If you don’t edit the tmd file, the song will sometimes still appear, but when you play it, you will lose the song audio at some point. You can fix this by editing the song app size in the tmd file. Better always edit both meta and song size in the tmd file.

Dolphin doesn’t load dlc from sZGP/E. Extra dlc slots for sZFP/E doesn’t work either.

Big thanks to StackOverflow0x for the hint with the tmd file.

    @StackOverflow0x

To me it seems we can only replace but no longer add dlc on dolphin.

When i put dlc into the custom sZGP folder the game always delete the meta app. When i put it into the sZFP folder it just won’t show up.

However the game runs now so smooth with ubershader.

I know how to us a hexeditor, how can i find the app size in the tmd file?

I tried using the new code Stack put up for auto overdrive. The code did work, but when the song ends the highways disappear and then it just stays on the band background screen without going to the score screen. Then have to turn off wii.Has any one else had any luck? Was really hoping for this because mic overdrive is impossible when you have the music cranked up& mic volume down. Which is the way i always play. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” /> I was using gecko v1.9 tried all hook types (vbi was what I use for all the other codes) also tried cheats using usbgx loader.

Running off of disc & SD card. All cios up to date as per the guide found on this first thread. Thanks

(Still amazed how you find this stuff Stack! So cool!)

I have the same problem with the new code, but i’m running the game via dolphin.

Btw does anybody found out what’s the new max size for custom dlc on recent dolphin versions?

I prefer to use recent dolphin versions over outdated ones.

Rock Band 3 runs very good on the latest ikaruga dolphin build. Just my customs doesn’t appear any more. :-(

    Yes i selected both folders.

Now i did it like you said, selecting only the meta folders and it works like a charm.

So the error was on my side. Thanks for your help.

Yes, i checked that bevor posting here. It’s version 3.9.8

So i tried c3contool’s smart folder merge.

Everything works fine, except every Song has 2 entries in the songs.dta.

Not a big thing the game ignores the 2nd entry and i didn’t hit the 500kb limit.

Is there any reason for that behavior? Or is it just a little bug?

Wow, i’m excited to see how this turns out <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

The USB ID of the PS3 mpa in drum mode is 12ba:0218 if this somehow helps.

Absolutely. Don’t fake a controller input though. Connect your drum kit, do the debugging bit and let’s see what happens.

Nothing happens, Rok Drummer doesn’t recognize the mpa. Windows recognize the mpa as “Harmonix Drum kit for Playstation 3”

I tried your app and it is impressive what you have created in this short time.

I don’t have 360 hardware only 2 wii mpa, i converted both to ps3 following this guide: http://docsrockbandmods.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4707

However i did not solder the dip switch bank. That means i can not convert them to 360 easily (only if i would open the mpa and solder again, but i would like to avoid this^^)

But i know that this would work, that means all mpa’s are somehow identical.

So i simply used the xinput emulator to fake a 360 controller and the ps3/wii mpa works <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> But all drum pads are wrong (except the bass pedal) e.g. Crash gets recognized as Snare. But every pad gets recognized somehow.

Should i create a list with the ‘Debug drum input’? Or do you plan to add native PS3/Wii support without the need of a xinput emulator?

Somewhere, little Timmy sees his favorite song in the RB4 setlist. Since he can’t download it from C3 anymore, he puts away the dishes every night and mows the lawn so Mom will buy him that shiny XBone and RB4.

    Timmy is happy.

    Mom is happy.

    Harmonix is happy.

Rhythm games survive and C3 is happy.

Does that mean that official guitar hero live songs get removed too?

Ok, thats a bummer, you can only try with a full backup, use the Advanced Menu from PeXploit v0.8.

Ok, did you convert a 360 custom with type 3 enrcyption or did you use a existin PS3 Custom?
